The language and details of the endorsement are extremely strange. They raise the question, Well, if you think this way, why are you endorsing Bush?
Never mind, it's the endorsement that counts.

I don't find anything "strange" about this language. The Miami Herald is praising Gov Bush in a big way here -- something they NEVER do:
We believe that Gov. Bush has earned the right to continue to lead the state. He is better prepared to steer the course of our diverse, fast-growing state and face the challenges that will arise....
But Mr. Bush has done this much: He has set Florida on a new path. He has change our conversation about education, revamped an endangered affirmative-action policy, held the line on taxes, helped to steady the economy, reached out to international partners and challenged traditional thinking about the role of government. In short, Mr. Bush has articulated a new vision for our state and he has begun to turn that vision into reality. He deserves a chance to continue the job.
I think that language is pretty straightfoward and clear! They ADMIT he HAS done a good job, when all is said and done.

It's called CYA in case the other guy wins. They have a clue how McAuliffe operates, too.

straightfoward = straightforward
BTW, The Tampa Tribune's endorsement was even more glowing! THIS IS GREAT NEWS, CICERO! :)

Yep. The devil is wearing ice skates.
If McBribe wins, it will be because of voter fraud by the Dems.

I read Peter Wallsten's review of McMumble after Debate #3, and just said today on another thread - it was such a blistering, scathing review, I could not imagaine Wallsten (the Sr Political Editor of the Miami Herald) now endorsing McMumble. I think The Miami Herald and others felt may have very let down by McMumble's obvious LOSER STATUS in ALL THREE DEBATES.

Please see my #28, Summer. I think the language to which Cicero referred was the complimentary treatment of McBride/McAuliffe within the article endorsing Governor Bush. He can set me straight if I'm wrong.

Maybe. Whatever! It's OK! THE BIG NEWS IS THESE THREE ENDORSEMENTS ARE ALL COMING OUT TOMORROW!!!! :)!

I've had a GREAT day. I had a wonderful Halloween party tonight and my guests just left - I'm sitting down with a plate of leftovers, and then I see this news!
THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!

".. it was such a blistering, scathing review, I could not imagaine Wallsten (the Sr Political Editor of the of the Miami Herald) now endorsing McMumble."
It would make them look ridiculous, although, even with Howard Troxler's ridicule of McBride/McAuliffe in the St. Pete Times, they endorsed McBride. And....it makes them look ridiculous! LOL
To: summer
Bump for Jeb.
Any word on the Palm Beach Post or Scum Sentinel? Course...if Mickey Mouse were a liberal, these two papers would endorse him.
