I believe that California is "Gone with the Socialist Wind". My advice is "Get out while the gettin' is good". It won't be too long before some legislator will come up with a Bill to tax you when you sell your home if you don't buy another one in California within ...a year.

Still, it is kinda odd that they put out the descrip as "Burgundy" and it turned out to be "blue". I have slight color blindness, and yet was in the military. (It didn't interefere with the main job of icing the other side.)
The kind of CB you describe sounds like my grandfather, who didn't see color but black & white and in between. He was an artist, though. (kinda odd..) He used a chroma chart and color wheel to paint. I never could figure out how he did it so well, though.
But one would think the police would be on top of such things. (*shrugs*)

As an Army crew chief on a UH-1B helicopter I realized that many of us flying M-60 gunners were colorblind. Yea, it didn't affect my ability to shoot one bit. One theory was that we could see camouflage better than normal people but I took a pilots test and failed only on color vision they said because I couldnt read the tower signal lights.
I have a lot of problems with car colors though. I learn the color of things and I have a memory for what people tell me a color is I do get confused frequently. A green car and gray are the same to me and some blues and some reds look the same

I was artillery, and did advanced part for artillery. (Different from normal advance party. You're looking for the neighbors, but the capatain said we had to be neighborly like. Whatever he meant by that, the P.C. twerp.)
Kinda fun- I have slight red green color blindness, but mainly I can't tell the diff between deep royal blue, deep royal green, and black.
But the 300 meter target never went down without me tagging him. (I'm also near-sighted.. if that makes any sense at all.???) But Burgundy and a light blue?
What cop in his right mind would mistake burgundy for blue and vice versa? My grandfather described bugundy as a deep gull grey. The tone of blue on the caprice would have been a ghost grey to him. Makes me wonder if there's more than one sniper. (The multiple vans and cars.) And they tossed one of their own to the wolves and are laying low for a bit..
Heck, in AdvPar in my old unit, I'd have layed low for a bit and let the other guy relax for awhile. It's just good tactics.
