I think we should e-mail this sign to everyone we know. It says it all. It IS how they feel.
Thanks for sharing.

Do your homework Rocksalt.
Sikhs are not Muslims. In fact, they are explicitly not like Muslims in their rituals, etc. Visually, though some Sikhs may wear turbans, the turbans are worn in more of a wrap around the head than on top of it. They are not known for terrorism anywhere other than in a specific part of India that they wish to have as an independent state, although there are some indications of fundraising for that effort in other parts of the world, including here in the US.
Generally, they tend to be open to the sprirtuality of all individuals regardless of caste, creed, color, race, sex, religion or nationality. They generally believe that all human life is a blessing, unlike the islamists who only value the lives of other muslims (barely.) Sikhs and muslims are fighting in parts of India/Kashmir.

The S. Florida connection has already been made. When the 17yr old illegally came to the US with his mother, they landed at the Port of Miami.

If you read between the lines, they pretty much said "We're not ready to openly attack you white devils and infidels yet, so we want peace and friendship until we are fully prepared to kill you in your sleep".
This pretty-much sums up the situation

Yeah I realise the Sikhs are not as much of a threat as Al Queda muslims. But they have known to be associated with violent acts in some capacity. The goverment list them as a dangerous extremist group. But I'm not worried about getting attacked by them locally. Thanks for the insights though.

Sikhs generally tend to hate muslims almost as much if not more so then most mainstream americans. I knew a sikh in college, and we talked about it once. He was full of alot of venom, didn't say specifics on why just a bunch of evil this, damn them that, wants them dead, blah blah". Granted he's right, but I don't know what there personal reasons are.

The Sikhs were well aware of Muslim terror hundreds of years ago.
On the February 5, 1762 Ahmad Shah Abdali murdered 20,000 Sikh women and children.
The Moslem Moghuls, Jaspat Rai and Meer Manu, continued this extermination policy.
