That British car you posted brings back fond memories of a 1956 green TR-3 convertible I bought when I was young and foolish and single. I, of course, got taken to the cleaners (it was a used car) and cost me lots of money over the years. But Mr. D and I really enjoyed it. We called it the "jolly green midget". We eventually had to sell it being as the convertible top was broken so it was always down and it got chilly and it was not a family car. Plus it was a huge expense.

We sold it to a teenager-his first car. I was reluctant to sell it to him as I feared for his safety in it. But his Dad was all for him having it-said he had seen it around town and was delighted when we decided to sell. Well, two weeks after he bought it, he totalled it. He was not injured but the car was history.

Thanks for jogging some great memories.
