One more bump to the top.
We'll be there as soon as we can, with our flag, but we may be too late.
I have looked up the address of Luigi's. Is it the pizza place?

Luigi's is on 19th -- kristinn, need some help here. Can you provide hocndoc with a better address than "19th?"
See you there!
Well, I think we are going there -- we usually do -- if there is a change, we'll let you know, somehow.

Late Thursday bump.
To: Dave Dilegge
I look forward to listening to your comments Saturday, Dave. Somehow I think your cousin will be hangin' with us on Saturday...
To: FrustratedCitizen
Geez Louise, FC... are you and Dales buddies, or what?
It's one thing to say, "Hey guys it might rain," and quite another to go "The Great Flood and New Ice Age route."
We've all been working very hard to encourage folks to come out and show their support for our men and women in the military (who wear their uniforms and defend our country and its ideals, no matter what the weather). And we have to contend with the total news blackout from the local media regarding our grassroots effort to do something positive and supportive of the people who will be putting their lives on the line to stop Saddam's megalomaniacal march to dominate his part of the globe through nuclear, chemical and biological weapon development and use. And we have to contend with the reality that putting on this rally is costing us money from our family budgets. And we are doing all this willingly, because it's become quite obvious that if we don't do it, nobody else appears ready to do it. Do you think you could maybe say just one positive thing to bump the thread?
So, according to you it's going to be miserably cold and rainy. That would have been positively tropical conditions and would have been welcomed by the US troops who fought in Korea. I don't know, but I'll bet the soldiers who were in North Africa would also have welcomed the weather we face on Saturday.
What I am trying to say is that the weather is secondary to what will happen on Saturday. We will be there regardless. And if your prediction proves true, I'll gladly give up the dollar bill to you. But I may have to restrain myself from attaching it to some duct tape and affixing it to your ... oh nevermind.
So, who's bringing the inflatable rafts and waterproof matches?
To: AGreatPer; kristinn
I just got in from work, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to dinner Friday. I still have a ton of things to put together that we'll be needing on Saturday. Have fun and I'll see you all on Saturday, bright and early - God willing.

Am in for two. See you tonight. 'Pod

LMAO, tgsl.
Hey, FC, I'm a self-appointed WX Freak myself, but Takoma is right, it don't matter.
Look forward to meeting you and welcome to FR.

Just wondering, do ya'll ever consider a Sunday rally? :)
I hope the weather is good for ya, but no matter what it turns out to be, you guys bring the warmth and fire of commitment. I thank you all!
To: leadpenny
I'm still waiting for C-SPAN to let us know their decision. They called again yesterday with more questions. If they do, it'll be shown tape-delayed.

Thanks. Warmth and fire sound good right now. It's getting chilly here.

Regarding Sunday Rallies:
I have a Jewish Freeper friend here, who told me because of shabbot, he cannot attend the Sturday rallies, I feel embarrassed, because I have on some occasions skipped church to freep for Israel! He was the one who kept the Sabbath! :-)
For Christians, we seem to have lost the idea of our Sabbath day being Holy, and we compromise too much. Going to a rally in between services on Sunday, that would be ok!
I am NOT a DC Freeper, though, and with the sun going down earlier, the rally on Sunday would be shorter for those who attend church on Sunday. Maybe those Freepers who do not go to church can organize a Sunday Freep so our Jewish friends can go without violating their Shabbot?

I have 2 or 3 umbrellas, and a brand new raincoat, so, you ladies can fight over the umbrellas! At least until we need on for the speakers!
Do we have a cover for the podium??
