Time of shooting: best reports are sometime between 8:30 (worker at Texaco (??) offhand remark that he was asked to call it in at about that time) and 8:46 (State Police time of call-in -- not necessarily the same call)

I had to skim alot of it, but the man is evidently in surgery at I think, a university hospital, I saw posted that he was shot in back and someone else said shot in stomach so not sure. Many posts are from people who live in the area and discussing the Richmond area.
Also noted, which is what my sister just said when I called her, he has never shot on a weekend. Guards were down. My sis was worried about today for that very reason.

If the guy did shoot at 8 pm The police were slow to act at this time 10:30 pm the furthest north they have blocked is doswell only 5 - 8 miles away. I'm afraid they lost him again. Why can't they catch this guy

A few minutes ago Rita Cosby was interviewing a police-type from Ashland who said he'd know more "in about an hour." (Maybe a news conference then?)
