I like Moose, however. With a few more years of experience under his belt, he could be another Rummy.

I guess 20 plus years is not enough experience.

Also he was police chief of Portland, Oregon for a number of years.

Seems he wanted a police chief's pension AND a police chief's salary, so he took a job in Maryland.

ROTFLOL Darn you! I wanted to hear Chief Moose' voice since I don't own a TV so I clicked on your link.

Just thankful I didn't have a mouthful of coffee when it played.

From all reports, Chief Moose is in charge.

Oh, please. With three states affected and 400 feds on the ground, you expect me to believe that a local cop is in charge of anything other than standing in front of microphones? Local PDs are used to assigning three detectives to a homicide case. This one reportedly has 1500 people involved. The FBI lab is handling the bullet fragments, and I'm sure the feds are calling the shots on methods of evidence gathering.

Also, the Virginia top cop said on TV that the FBI was in charge of investigating the terrorism angle. Now what could that involve? It is obviously terrorism, even if it turns out to be an AWM or generic fruitcake.

Those "cartoonists" are disgusting. I don't know what I could say if I e-mailed them that would sway their thinking. If you can call their cognitive processes thinking. They are braindead.
They are profiting on the blood of innocents in order to dominate other innocents. How low is that?

These cartoons prove that it is time to restrict some freedoms. Maybe a waiting period, registration/licence for the first amendment? (kidding!)

If you post the e-mails of the editors of the publications their "work" appears in I will send them my opinion.
The "cartoonists" themselves are nothing but dispicable bloodsuckers.

Moose is a PC moron. He needs to spend less time entertaining the media and more time trying to catch the islamic terrorists killing his citizens.

Try reading the Constitution of the United States some time if you want an answer about why the FBI hasn't taken over the whole case.

I agree with you and the WSJ, too.

In light of all the evidence and other FACTS, plus the demographic considerations of this particular metropolitan area, Chief Moose continues to do the best possible job that any local police chief could have done in this very, very unique and unprecedented situation.

As both a local community and pro-RKBA leader here in the metro area, I am also happy to note that Chuck Moose has not uttered one word regarding gun-control or any other anti-RKBA statements, no matter how much baiting the national press has done regarding guns in general. That's more than I can say for all the local and national politicians around here, especially those who have chosen to use this murder spree for their own political gain.

Chief continues to have the support of the pro-RKBA community here and, NO, we do NOT want the Feds taking over this investigation.

Hats off to Chief Moose!

I do not think he should've cried. Understandable but not becoming a police chief.

The FBI lab is handling the bullet fragments

I thought it was the "F-Troop" lab. It is their rice bowl after all.
