Jesus says in John 3:3

I care what's written in John 3:3 about as much as you care what's written in the Koran.

Adam Shapiro: "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him." Proverbs 26:11-12.

OK, so don't get Saved, just go to hell out of spite for me.

Eternity in your company would be the equivalent of damnation. It wouldn't be to spite you, Tinkerbell, it would be to avoid your hateful braying and philistine manners.

Nice thing about salvation, I'm not responsible for yours, only mine.

You don't sound responsible enough to walk a dog, let alone understand the meaning of grace or salvation.

Just remember, as you rot in everlasting damnation, you had your chance.

Righto. I have my chance to avoid spending forever with a loud mouthed spoiled child.

What are you trying to do - get banned so you can pretend to be a martyr when it's really because you're an immature, attention-needy jerk? And donations aren't necessary, there are lots of people that don't/can't donate and don't get banned. Stop stamping your little feet, begging for attention, and a get a life. And also, lay off the pretend-Christian bit, it's so fake it's ridiculous.

Yes, "Judge not, lest you be judged". The same God will judge us all, and I've heard some sobering sermons that there will probably be a great deal of *disappointment* come Judgement Day among so-called Christians.

We are told to "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." I always took that to mean that you shouldn't be anticipating so much who else is going to hell, rather you should be worried that you might be.

Wow, if what Jesus said in John 3:3 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. , offends you, how do you handle what the Lord said leading up to Many therefore of His disciples, when they had heard this, said, "This is an hard saying; who can hear it?" When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured at it, He said unto them, Doth this offend you? (John 6:60&61)

They treat you great while they're courting, but once you're married, you are a chattel. If you want a divorce, they will claim your marriage was never really legal if it wasn't a Muslim ceremony, and they will try to stiff you out of the community property that should be yours after waiting on them hand and foot and being their slave for 20-30 years.

People with your views give conservative Christians a bad name.

He sure does. I'm very glad I not the kind of Christian he is--someone who personally attacks other freepers, someone who has the immaturity of a two-year-old in mid-tantrum, and who spams the thread.

It is written that Christians should be known by the fruit of the Spirit.

Galations 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance,

Your unholy glee at the thought of others rotting in hell gives you away.

That is an interesting story. I agree with you that he does not seem to be an sort of spy, and I can't work out his mother's position. I suppose he must have been born in the late 1970s, if he is in his 20s now. I have heard of a couple of other cases of families being of two faiths - there was these two brothers on the West Bank, with a Jewish grandmother, and one was a Muslim and the other reverted to Judaism. They got on well, but there was community harassment.

Also, here in Australia I heard a touching story from the Armenian community. One old grandfather we knew had crossed the Syrian desert on foot, during the Armenian genocide. He was found by some Beduins, a little boy of about 3, walking all alone. They picked him up and followed his tracks to a campsite, where everyone was dead. The Beduins took the all possessions of the dead (well - they did not need them any more) and carried the child to Damascus, where he was given to an Armenian orphanage. He grew up there, and migrated to Australia in the 1930s.

He said that he never felt at home as a Christian, although this might have been because of the rather harsh upbringing in the orphanage. In Australia, he lived the busy life of the post-war immigrants, and was taken up with work and raising a family. But then, in his old age, he thought again about his origins, and went to Syria to find out if he could at least visit his family's grave. He found the Beduin tribe who had rescued him, as the child in the desert had become a real tale among them. Several generations of Beduin had passed since then (they marry young and often die young) but they remembered that the story of the Jewish child found in the desert. He was just amazed to hear that, but it made sense. He was circumcised, but had never asked himself why. The Beduins also showed him some of the jewellery, still worn by the tribal women, which had Jewish symbols on it.

The Armenian went back to Cyprus, then Jerusalem. He tried to make contact with the Jewish community, but couldn't really pick up the links. He returned to Australia and died the following year. His son told me that his father had some peace of mind in at least knowing who he was. However, he was not able to find the family gravesite, they had been put in levelled graves in the desert.

With some people, I think that is God's plan, that they go far from their origins, but in the end, are brought back.

spending eternity in that condition meant not having to spend it your graceless, neanderthal company, that might not be such an unattractive option Yes. That's what I always think when I read messages like that. Do not forget that these people also believe that one of the benefits of heaven will be looking down on the souls in hell and enjoying their torments. So you and I, if we are roasting there, will at least be useful, providing free entertainment for the virtuous.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist (2Jo 1:7)
