These clowns are certainly not expert snipers. They are barely competent to hunt deer in the Eastern States where ranges are short. They could never qualify with a rifle in basic training in any branch of the US military.

Losers, almost certainly American Losers.
SO9

I don't know how you can be so sure they are "American Losers" -- the media hasn't even posted a composite sketch yet.

No, many of the Palestinians happen to be expert snipers --

Here's a report of "A Palestinian sniper looked through his telescopic sight at a baby's head and shot her dead -- while the mother was holding the baby in her arms". Of course the media just reported that: "JEWISH TODDLER DIES IN WEST BANK" so you wouldn't know how good of a shot the Palestinians were.

In March, 2002 one lone sniper opened fire killing seven soldiers and three Israeli settlers. I would say that's a pretty good kill ratio against 7 armed soldiers (the 3 civilians don't count). And, he had time to get away! The Arab press hails him as a hero.

In April, 2002 Palestinian sniper killed a reservist near Har Homa. They also wounded an Israeli motorist and his three children.

Sept., 2002 More near misses, and a report of Women occupy a snipers nest. This house has been used as a sniper's nest to rain fire on passing Jewish vehicles. It was from this point that Arab terrorists murdered the Wilanskys. Palestinian snipers kill 2 more soldiers.

Here's a breakdown of 6,026 total attacks by Palestinians against Israelis between September 29 , 2000 - July 22, 2001. You can read the names of the dead there and how they died. The prefered method of attack is not homicide bombing -- it is sniping:

I could go on for many more pages of examples such as these. A Google Search of "Palestinian sniper" returns 16,500 hits. I think I've proven my point: many of the Palestinians happen to be expert snipers

Just referring to how we have to deal with jihadis......if you get lost follow the replies back.......

You talke about how the political side needs to open their eyes.....I was referring to how we need to treat them (the Jihadis). When you make war on their entire and extended family and start doing things like burying their corpses with unclean animals (i.e. Pigs in their view) They open their eyes and have a change of heart.....research Pershing's answer to terrorism in the Philipines....I realize it may sound barbaric but when did we decide that we were dealing with a politically correct enemy.....hope I helped us find ourselves........Have a FReepin great day....later

Great bunch of info but I think the point made (and that I agree with) is that our sniper need not be an expert. In fact just about anyone with a bit of training could do this.

At least that is my opinion.

What if every car carried a transponder that sat on the dash?

When a red light on top lit, the driver would be required to pull over to the side of the road and stop. The transponders would sense their location by reading signals from local transmitters.

A command could be given, "stop all traffic on freeway x" or within x blocks of a location, or with a certain license plate or owner, and appropriate cars would get the word. Cars ignoring the request would be immediately spotted by air, also by return radio link. So, when a terrorist act happened, roads in that area could be effectively shut down to allow a search. It sounds anti-freedom and draconian, but maybe a capability of this kind is needed. Our cities' transportation systems are like a big machine; we need an on/off switch.

Assualt Rifle ? Since only single shots have been fired and the only piece of brass found was intentionally left behind, there is no evidence to suggest an assault rifle was used. More likely a single shot rifle that doesn't fling the brass in the weeds was used. A sniper planning a rapid egress from the area doesn't want to spend time looking for brass.

Geez, why stop there. Why not have it connected to a kill switch on the car's engine.

No thanks.
