Those boys rock!
Your post is also a dead on response to the liberal question "Why do they hate us?"
The dawning on the 20th century was a turbulent time, with the maturation of Marxism, decline of Empires, etc. Somewhat similar circumstances existed then. Great influx of different times of immigrants primarily from Eastern Europe, bringing with them some of the newer political strains. Anarchism, Marxism, and some of the political bents that somewhat exist today in Scandanavian and German settled areas in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
In this time frame anarchists created mayhem, though not so much in the general population but through Political assasinations of I believe two presidents and the Mayor of Chicago .
My question is how did this country overcome this mayhem? And how did these groups assimilate, and things "settle down". Are there similar hopes for the immigrants and "visitors" we condemn today?
Myself, I believe no Muslim can be trusted, but to have an open mind, I have to realize that 100 yrs ago, no Eastern European was trusted and I am sure there was a groundswell to expel all of them. The mantra today is that our previous immigrants assimilated but the ones of today show no inclination to do so. I believe it is obvious that the cult of Islam is a huge barrier to such assimilation. It is true that the prior immigrants melded in, but I beleive it was a long bumpy road.
If anybody has any sources or viewpoints to point out the similarities between those times and now, I am sure it would be interesting
. . .actually, this 'news' first came out last week, but then was dropped as unreliable (they obviously did not want to go 'there').
But it seems the order has not changed. . .they first reported. . ."it appears they could be 'Latino. . .or . . .possibly (p a u s e. . .) Middle Eastern". . .as if we should assume that the ID was more likely Latino and 'M.E.', less so.
Yes, it is interesting how they get their descriptive order. . .would be funny as well, if it were not so sad.
The peaceful Islamics, that is, those who are not actually killing people, are doing nothing to help stop the slaughter. The peacful Islamics, could help stop the slaughter very quickly but they do nothing. I believe this is called aiding and abetting.
The peaceful Islamics, those who are not actually killing people but who are aiding and abetting those who are killing people deserve the same treatment that the killers deserve.
This is not about religious tolerance or intolerance.
Nor is it time to wax philosophical about what it's going to be like a hundred years from now.
The Islamic community supports the terrorists.
Ye shall know them by their fruits.
So, what to do about it?
We are on the defense. We are acting like we believe this war can be won by taking a defensive posture. Can you imagine trying to win a chess match or a football game by always being defensive? By never being aggressive?
Take the offense. Remove every illegal immigrant immediately. In the interest of national security(this is about national security) close all the mosques. Racially profile Islamics to an extreme.
This is a war we need to win.
Have you seen his picture and if so, can you give me a link?
Mark Steyn also follows this line of thought in his article They Want to Kill Us All. Whenever we hear the lies about Islam and Muslims, we need to redirect attention to what these people say, and TAKE THEM AT THEIR WORD, and interpret their actions without the "PC" visor on.
It is vitally important that Americans apply the classical Western concept of "truth" to the Islamic problem, and not the Eastern-mystic concept of "moral relativism".
If the Muslim's just quoted represent the extreme radical fringe of Islam, why isn't there a huge movement of Muslims demonstrating in the media an in the streets against those misrepresenting their religion. There is no such movement, because the vast majority of Muslims are philosophically (and religiously) in lock-step with those who would murder American (and other non-Muslim) men, women, and children. We are "only" infidels to them, while the terrorists are their brothers.
Our message to the Muslim's preaching about how we should "understand" the plight of the poor Muslim masses should be simple. 1) I know some Muslims want to kill me, my wife, and my children because I'm an infidel. They then intend to possess my property as their Allah-given inheritance. 2) You support these murderers, directly or indirectly. 3) I have a gun. I am a military man, with military training. MY country has a strong military for the precise purpose of dispatching murders like you and your brothers. 4) Find a rock to hide under, because we're coming...
