Look at this site:

Not Milk

I know I can never give up milk products myself...but with all the hormones they stuff into cows to make they grow up in half the time they used too....I'd be leary in having my kids drink it until they were older.

"...I sowwy..."

LOL!

No sweat...

It's a sort of 'cosmic payback'... I do that to my wife all the time.

And then I talk her into drinking a big, tall, cold glass of hormone laden milk so that I can watch her breasts grow!

What did these loons expect? You get between an teenage boy and a gallon of milk at your own peril.

The only thing better would have been if they had dumped used milk on the PETdiots.

All the "bad for your health" claims, made about milk, simply don't apply to the raw, organic stuff. Actually, the hormones injected into a cow can't get into the milk anyway, but, for the sake of the animal, organic farmers avoid hormones.

Since I switched to all-raw milk and butter, I haven't had to use one sick day. There's apparently something in raw dairy fat that boosts the immune system. My wife was totally unable to drink milk or eat cheese til she switched to the raw stuff, now she can digest it just fine.. probably due to the enzyme content which is preserved by avoiding pasteruization.

Milk, in its natural state, is good for you. And it's great for growing children, as evidenced by 8000 years of post-Neolithic European history -- natural selection favored the milk drinkers causing the lactase persistance gene to become common among whites. This wouldn't have happened if milk was harmful -- selection would have DISfavored milk users.

You've got that right! I can't stop my fourteen year old son from drinking the stuff.

I agree. It isn't that the milk itself is full of hormones naturally but rather the feeds and such that the cows ingest are treated with hormones and such. During digestion the hormones are passed through to the milk.

Two years ago when my daughter was 7 I took her to the dr because of a painful "lump" in her right breast. Of course I was thinking the worst and imagining all sorts of things wrong with her. After an examination he concluded that she was developing breasts. He was going to diagnose it as precocious puberty ( premature ) but he said the standards for that has been lowered to 6 years old. She was "too old" for that diagnosis. He also said that it was a wonder that boys today could grow a mustache because of the hormones in our foods. So here I am today with a 9 year old LITTLE girl with breasts that rival a 14 or 15 year old's. I am now feeding my children organic milk.

How do you make a hormone?

Take away her dildo.

I haven't used a sick day in about 6 years. (And those two, consecutive, were due to a 'work related injury'.) I don't eat or drink 'organic' food of any sort. Just the regular stuff from Giant and Shoppers'. There must be something in the hormones and pesticides that boosts the immune system...

I've got a 17 year-old that can go through a gallon in couple of days.

I wouldn't doubt that organic milk is different. I was referring to the stuff we buy in the store in the last 10 years...when greed and hormones took over.

Thanks for the info....I personally never buy milk...not in my coffee or on my cereal. To me its just extra fat calories. I do, however, indulge in nonfat ice milk. :)
