"investigators think English may not be his first language"

Er, why not? Lots of cwazy people, or those who want to appear to be cwazy, talk that way.

while carrying an assault rifle.....

Possibly broken into two backpack size pieces, or just as likely they are using one of the single shot handguns chambered for .223. That would at least help to explain the lack of follow up shots on the two he didn't kill, too slow. Although truth be told, not THAT slow, unless he/they are using one of those where the breach has to be screwed off and on after each shot. Possible, as at least one of that style can be chambered for .223.

I don't think there's any concrete evidence here that there are two people involved

Of course there's not much concrete evidence period. There is at least some eyewitness evidence that there are two people involved. It's probably not very reliable, but the same sort of evidence as that indicating "white box truck", "white mini-van"

I know better. It's the non-newbies that I worry about. They've been around here for a long time, people trust their opinions. In fact, they're deep-cover moles. They're the ones who are using their mind-control rays to subvert true patriots like you.

How true. It may not be possible but the only way to really counter terrorism is to first think like a terrorist.

BTW, welcome to FR. Nice to have you aboard.

Someone said that before, but I have always used more formal references--I feel weird if I don't include "dear" at the start of a letter. It is the way I was raised, however I admit my mother being a Brit may attribute to that streak of formality, however I was raised in this country and for both my parents and me English is our first(and only) language.

BTW, I am 32 and still feel more comfortable using policeman. I still think it could be a local, despite my heritage, I spent my early years being educated in a school system not far from where these spree shootings are taking place. I hadn't thought of it until now, but what are the chances this person is local and about the same age as I am, educated in the same schools? It's a possibility and thought I should shed some light on it given my age and the fact that I attended schools in the state of Maryland as a child since it could be this person aquired the same vernacular that I did growing up in that same school system.

Well, you and I may be alone in this, Kev.

To all others who remind me (repeatedly) of what I already know - that the 9/11 terrorists were doing questionable things the night before, I can appreciate the logic. However, in those instances, they weren't doing things that spoke directly to 'spiritual' matters. Yes, they were carousing. No, they weren't claiming to be Allah and they weren't projecting the occult into their deeds.

Having said all that to simply say that I think we are dealing with someone in the grips of Satan himself. He was a murderer from the beginning and his ultimate goal is to kill and destroy. I'm simply saying that I think he has found someone who is thrilled to participate in that.

And to all others who seem to think that I'm suggesting the killer(s) is a white male.....re-read my posts and you'll find no such supposition. Stop being paranoid. Next you'll be telling me that the government doesn't want us to know that this is the work of terrorists.

I'd think the justifications for this type of behavior would better fit a young socialist democrat.

Past studies into warfare attribute the aim of war as to change the will of one's enemy.

Too often today, those who live in security more closely associate warfare with a handful of battles and spectacular events causing death suffering and misery for a 1-2 yr period and then resuming to some reasonable status quo. Yet far too rarely do we associate the strategic battles with actually changing the will of the enemy.

Consider the socialist democrats and what they might consider their loses. I dare say they have not nor probably will not change their will until far more devestating consequences ensue upon them personally. I suspect there is a far greater likelihood of a lunatic fringe militant dabbling with firepower with an anarachist/socialist bent performing these murders than otherwise.

I'd say the culprit hates the "War on Terror" and feels as though he/she is successfully rebelling and changing the world with their behavior.

One interesting facet is the"I am G*d" signature, which is proof positive the murderer is not if God. Again, an indicator the murderer is of a more liberal radical ilk and seeks to counterfeit their behavior in open rebellion without accountability.

Insufficient grounds exist to prove these summations, but IMHO it offers a far better description than an angry white male. IMHO, it's a Janet Reno wantabe, who has dabbled in the occult, probably served a little active duty or along those lines, perhaps Wiccan, and thinks they are outside suspicion.

A lot of people keep saying that the sniper left the Tarot card because he's either into the occult or it's just a red herring. My guess is that the sniper could be leaving a "calling card". I've heard that American military snipers usually leave the "ace of spades".

I've, also, heard that we did this when we were in Afghanistan, so the shooter could be a Muslim terrorist with some delusions that he even comes close to being on par with one of our boys.

I wish I could see exactly which version of the Death card the shooter left. I've seen several different types posted, but one in particular stands out: It's the one with Death on a horse, the ground littered with corpses, and a robed man wearing a mitre (a Pope or a Bishop?) falling.
