... lawyers should be ineligible for elected office.Here, here! I thought I was alone on this view. I have never seen anyone else mention it. I have always said that allowing attorneys to make the laws was a conflict of interest. While I do believe legislators should have attorneys on their staffs, I do not believe attorneys should be able to hold elective office.

Lots of folks here are humorously critical of Senator Thurmond for trusting the word of a Rat in the first place--and that is probably appropriate, considering the lack of honor and morality demonstrated by Dem Senators.
How do you get to be 100 and still be naive! ;-)
But you have to give the old coot credit--he knows how to go out--blasting Democrats!!

It is something like that. I heard on Rush Limbaugh that 92% of these so-called objective journalists voted for Clinton/Gore. Says a lot.
