Who is interested, available, and willing to Freep one or both of these events? The goal is to have as large a presence as possible, not to be disruptive. The more people who show up, the greater the chances of getting media attention for Bob instead of just for KKT and the Clintons.

Do you know any individuals or groups who would be interested in demonstrating at the above-mentioned events?

Hmmm. KKT must still be unsure of her black support. She's taking the Bent One, the first black president, to a black college.

The problem with demonstrating at Coppin is we would have to go inside of Hummers or Land Rovers. That part of Baltimore City is off limits to unarmed citizens.

Local media carefully neglected to report that Ehrlich supporters were 'jumped' after the "debate" at Morgan State University; and cars with Ehrlich stickers were vandalized.
I do not think the Balto Police would give us the protection that the DC police give demonstrators.

The need for help is urgent in every county.
If there are any Howard County Freepers looking for volunteer opportunities, FReepmail me or just show up at Howard County Ehrlich HQ at the Owen Brown Village Center in Columbia on Saturdays at 9am or almost any evening.
Or go to Howard County for Ehrlich website for local campaign activity info. and volunteer opportunities.

Thank you, mr.sarcastic, for posting this info!
I have put in for the afternoon off work, and will be at the OCTOBER 16th event in Bethesda.
OCTOBER 16 (Wednesday)
WHAT: Kathleen Kennedy Townsend fundraiser with HILLARY CLINTON and MD Senator Barbara Mikulski
WHERE: Bethesda Marriott, 5151 Pooks Hill Rd, Bethesda
WHEN: 5:00pm until 7:30pm (event starts at 5:30pm)
This event is going to get a lot of local media attention, and wouldnt it look great if there was a sea of Ehrlich for Governor signs and supporters outside.
The Bethesda Marriott is very convenient to the Beltway.
I am on call on Fridays, and my family can't afford me to lose that extra pay; but I will be there if I win the big money in the VA lottery tonight :-)
OCTOBER 18 (Friday)
WHAT: Get Out the Vote Rally with Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and Bill Clinton
WHERE: Coppin State College, on The Quad, 2500 West North Avenue, Baltimore
WHEN: 4:30pm
From KKTs website Join PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON for a free Get Out the Vote Rally with KATHLEEN KENNEDY TOWNSEND, Friday, October 18th, 4:30pm, Coppin State College on The Quad. Additional information to follow.

Wow. I didn't hear a thing about this. Working for Ehrlich tommorrow. I'll let everybody there know.A caller to the Bruce Elliot show last Saturday mentioned it and, Sen Clarence Mitchell, who was Bruce's guest affirmed that it was so. The Sun and your Montgomery Co paper will never print it. It was a shame to have the debate where Ehrlich supporters were afraid to attend.

Said I would do this or that, what days I was available.
It's been about a week and I have not heard a thing. I'm thinking he doesn't need any help with that lack of response.

The
Pooks Hill FReep has a nice ring to it.
If my work schedule allows, count me in for anything you come up with on the 15th.
I meant the 16th. (The coffee hasn't kicked in yet.)

To add a Baltimore perspective: --
Man found dead city's 4th homicide since Sunday
By Laurie Willis
Sun Staff
Originally published October 8, 2002
The bloody body of an unidentified man was found late last night in a Southwest Baltimore alley - the city's fourth homicide since Sunday. (which was October 6)
Investigating a report of a body, officers found the victim lying dead in an alley in the 1800 block of McHenry St. Police said it was uncertain whether he had been shot or bludgeoned.
The others slain were shot - two of them Sunday, the other early yesterday.
--excerpt -
Tgsl, renting a Humvee tickles my fancy, but the resulting publicity would destroy Ehrlich's chances for any crossover black votes in Baltimore.
