The Stern lineage as reported in "Howard Stern, King of All Media" by Paul Colford, St. Martins Press, NY, 1996 (p. 2):

Howard's Grandparents on his Father's side: Froim and Anna (Gallar) Stern, natives of the former Austria-Hungary.
His Father: Ben Stern.

Howard's Grandparents on his Mother's side: Sol and Esther (Reich) Schiffman, also from Austria-Hungary.
His Mother's maiden name: Ray Schiffman. (Ray is the correct spelling.)

Howard's parents were married by a rabbi at the Imperial Garden, a kosher catering hall in the Bronx, on May 17, 1947.
Howard married Alison Berns at Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline, Mass., on June 4, 1978. They were both 24.

Howard has repeatedly called for the execution of homicidal muslim leaders. Lautenberg is against that. This is especially ironic since the Jewish vote will come out big time for Lautenberg and Israel is endangered the most. If Forrester kept to that topic he probably would pick up more blue collar votes than votes he would lose from people who are offended that he went on Howard's show. Doug just has to stay on target and say he would be in favor of executing Bin Laden and Hussein and Lautenberg has voted against that and how Israel is in imminent danger from Iraq. Howard would go off on a rant and Forrester can avoid talking about his personal sex life.

Mayors Koch and Dinkins attended mass at St. Pat's on many occasions, does that make them Catholic just by sitting there, I do not think so? Many tourist non-catholics attend mass at St. Pat's daily just to say that they were there.

I've been in a protestant church, a mosque and a synagogue, I am neither of these religions.

I don't understand how one can call somebody a Catholic because they were seen in a Catholic Church. There is no logic in that statement.

Actually your friend may be right. I recently traced Howard's ancestery back to 15th Century Spain. It appears that his ancestors were members of a group known as Maroonos. These were people who pretended to be Jews but in secret they were practicing Catholics.

Howard is NO Democrat!! He Personally HATES Clintoon, big time!
