Here is another example of how we can get the word out thanks to Free Republic:
Oct 7, 2002
Television Live Coverage of President Bush's Monday Night Speech, The Associated Press
Television live coverage plans for President Bush's scheduled 8 p.m. EDT speech Monday in Cincinnati. The speech, which is expected to address the threat Iraq poses to the United States and the possibility of war, comes as Congress prepares to vote on resolutions authorizing military action.
- ABC: Not planning live coverage.
- NBC: Not planning live coverage.
- MSNBC: Planning live coverage.
- CBS: Not planning live coverage.
- FOX News: Undecided.
- FOX: Undecided.
- CNN: Planning live coverage. ============================================================
It is time to let the Fox execs feel the heat! ============================================================
Our pledge of 17 cents per day not only gets us the truth but it enables us to get the truth to those not on Free Republic like that great billboard in SW Oregon.
Now, we can put pressure on TV execs to cover this important speech by our President. Shame on them for not planning to cover this important speech!

this crap is getting worse than PBS.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
It's not half as bad as the anti-Bush sentiment on your profile page, IMO.
Whattsa matter? Slow day at LP?

From FReepathon: Our new Donation System is Ready to Roll! -- Thread Five
"A note to prospective new monthly donors: We have included a list of our fixed monthly expenses as well as an estimate of our non-recurring expenses on our budget page of the donation system. We've also included an estimate of our current recurring monthly donations from our monthly donors. If and when the total of the recurring monthly donations ever meets our monthly expenses, there will no longer be a need for these FReepathons. It can happen someday. Thank you for considering a regular monthly contribution."

Hmmm, how could this ever be accomplished? Mabye charging people to register for FR. How does $3 a month sound?

Three dollars a month from every registered Freeper would be perfect. And the new donation system makes it very easy. Just

if President Bush were to strip to the buff, paint himself orange, and publicly urinate on the Washington Monument, there would be no shortage of Freepers standing by to explain how well that works as a part of his 'deep strategyIt looked as though you were endorsing this sentiment. No?

It's one thing to wear BushBlinders, but to think

That's a way cool sign. And you put a lot of work into it. Thank you!.
Minor question and a suggestion for next time...if FreeRepublic helped in securing funds for the sign, why no mention of FR on the sign? Perhaps a small

endorsing what sentiment? The quote criticizes the kool-aid drinkers on FR, not Dubya. I like the man a lot, however, I do comprehend that he is still a human being...others don't appear to comprehend this.

How about $3 a month if you want to post, no more begging drives and stupid ads?

RE the bill board in Oregon.
We felt that it was best to form this separate group F.I.R.E. re the funding. You can't officially use Free Republic to raise money for something like this.
Also, the F.I.R.E. hopefully will continue to battle the enviral whackos in Oregon and the West Coast. Also, this opens donations up to others not just Freepers which has happened.
I hope that this answers your questions re the bill board.
