Even if the attackers are Muslim they will not rule it a terrorist act. They won't want to piss off any Muslims. If there is a political assassination then you better believe they will call them terrorists. If Richard Reid had actually lit his shoe...that entire flight would have been listed as an internal explosion of mechanical failure. Richard Reid does not sound Arabic now does it?

All of us and investigators who would have done research on the flight manifest would be known as tin-foil people and the FAA would have us all thinking things are safe in the skies...just like over Long Island and TWA 800 as well. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

If they've tied the shootings together in two or three different states, then I would think that would be enough for the Feds to get involved, if nothing else. Unless there's a clear federal issue involved, the Feds have to be invited to intervene.

Before the arrival of the Brits in the Indian subcontinent, the Islamics had ruled India, harshly, for a good long time. The WH offered all available resources today, including Dept. of Education counseling for schoolchildren. Resources generally just help though and don't take over. Scanned CNN occasionally today and a banner at the bottom of the screen said police were interviewing witnesses. Didn't say potential witnesses. Wonder if someone saw something? Like an Arab in a car with a rifle extended out the window.

If it's a Muslim and they don't call it terrorism - we'll never have anything called terrorism unless it's thousands of people killed and they can't kid Americans about the incident. Even the kid who flew a plane into a building in Florida was an act of terrorism - he had all sorts of AQ and OBL literature and handwritten notes about how he wanted to support the "cause". The feds need to realize we're adults and SHOULD give us the real deal.

I'm not convinced the local or state police VOLUNTEERED for federal assistance. My guess is they were told the feds were taking over. Which should have been done before this you ask me as the shootings have spanned an area over four jurisdictions by now.

In musing, I'm compiled a few ponderings: Why haven't the victims as of yet been identified? Or did I miss something? Or if the dead have been identified what with funerals and everything, why hasn't the ones who survived been identified? Does anyone know the Spotsylvania woman's name? The school kid today? Surely people out there know them but no mention of their names by the media.

Why no shootings on the weekends? I'm beginning to suspect some sort of delivery truck might be involved.

Where the hell is the Governor of Merryland. 8 citizens shot, 6 killed, in a time span of less than a week? When should the state leader come out and reassure the people? Not that I want to see his lying liberal face, but you know what I mean.

Soon, shouldn't we be seeing this kid's "Aunt" on Larry King Live? This is exactly the sort of guest these shows love to have.

Finally, though we've been lamenting the meekness of the LE and such to mention terrorism, I'm very sure the Feds et al are paying close attention to this situation. It's too close to DC, for one thing. And if it's not an outright attack by Al Queda in the manner of 9-11, there's as much a possibility it's a rogue terrorist cell like that one in Oregon, at least I'd say.

Actually there is at least one really good reason. The sickos usually have a pattern to their killings. Same sex, same age, sometimes even the same "look", sometimes only the same occupation. This one doesn't have that sort of pattern.

If it is revealed that it is a muslim...the Fed's will be shitting their pants out of fear that Americans will fire back. Country wide. I can tell you one thing. If this starts happening outside of this area and it turns out that muslims are popping off Americans? INS better be prepared for a lot of body shipments to Arabic countries.
