those who are blindly supporting President Bush and those who aren't domestically supporting the president based on his actions while in office. Well, that's a good way to get people to read your articles, isn't it, start right off with a "if you don't agree with me, you're a lockstep BushBot."
No need to read any further.

This poor, naive kid thinks that constitutional principles still matter. He definitely has a lot to learn about American politics.....

If this government cannot or will not stop the titanic flood of illegal aliens, and this massive lawlessness by those that defecate on our laws and sovereignty, then the government itself will eventually become illegitimate...

No need to read any further.
That's a great method to bury your head in the sand and not even try to address any of the salient points this piece brings up.
Lets face it folks:
On the foreign front, Bush is great.
Domestically, he's continuing a LOT of Clinton's legacy. Truth hurts, but it's good for the soul....

Hear! HEAR! Well said, well put.
To: Howlin
It wouldn't kill you to read it. That's not what the article is about at all. Of course, if you subscribe to the "criticism of Bush = treason" mentality, then I understand why you'd be upset.
To: Joe Hadenuf; WyldKard
"If this government cannot or will not stop the titanic flood of illegal aliens..." I think this has great bearing on both the foreign and domestic fronts.
To: sheltonmac
What makes you think I didn't read it?
And please tell me why there are ONLY two choices in YOUR world, either thinking Bush does no wrong or everything he does is wrong?

Hell yeah, it does.
I don't know what is going on in Bush's head that continues to prevent him from closing the borders, and stopping the flow of Visas. And I refuse to swallow the Bushbot screed of "It's all part of his brilliant strategy that mere mortals like you and I can not possibly comprehend."

That, of course, is YOUR opinion, but when you reading an opening sentence like that, it's not hard to figure out where this is going.

I guess its encouraging that there is a 13 year old who doesn't think "constitution" is what you need to have in order to get a body part pierced.
To: WyldKard
I read it. It is from a 13-year old boy. I have been arguing about this with the "Bush isn't a conservative" crowd for two years.
Bush isn't conservative enough for some people. I think he's doing just fine, considering he has a Rat senate, a narrowly held house, a war, and Clinton-supporters in and out of government colluding with the press to undermine everything he does.
In fact, I have decided that people who don't understand the give and take of Americian politics and the difficulties involved are so wrapped up in their "principles" that they will happily see us ruled by the Clintons just to prove a point. I am done arguing about it.
To: Howlin
Look, it's simple.
All the kid is saying is that Conservatives these days either blindly support Bush, or support Bush in some ways, and criticize him in others. He never said anything like "Totally for/totally against." and you'd know that if you read the article.

He never said anything like "Totally for/totally against." and you'd know that if you read the article. So you think this sentence:
The Republican Party, it seems, is now domestically divided among two extremes: those who are blindly supporting President Bush and those who aren't domestically supporting the president based on his actions while in office.
doesn't mean you're either in lockstep or not?
No wonder you don't understand my point.

Well..maybe it's all a matter of perception.
I took the sentence to mean that they are like me: Supporting the President for most of his foreign policy, but against him on a lot of his domestic measures.
Maybe you took it more as a totally for/totally against sort of thing.
