The point is not what Iraq will do directly with WMD, against Israel or the US. It is the fact he may make them available to terrorists, such as Saudi/other islamist terrorists. He is and has been given adequate chances, to be rid of the weapons, per UN treaty, but continues to play games.

That isn't an acceptable situation, after 9/11/01 plain and simple.

I expect the US wishes to get positioned in Iraq, for whatever staging is required for Saudi. I further expect the mullah government of Iran to fall, to a democratic, secular regime...especially if the US/Britain take down Iraq.

I'm not persuaded by Saddam being non-islamist; for the WMD threat overrides everything else. He shot missiles into Israel, attempting to start a major regional war. He is not the safe & sane guy you present him to be.

How about Saudi as a conquered territory-protectorate of the US? Of the UN? Another 9/11/01 and 15 out of 19 would seal that deal, I expect. So it is in the interest of Saudi leaders, that it does NOT happen again, or they are finished as rulers.

I expect another 9/11/01 in a couple of years. We may head it off, but they will probably try.

At this stage, Bush gives the opponents a chance to fix the problems first. That is "fair" and "moral." If they refuse or fail, it is fair and moral to prevent terrorist threats, against ourselves or our friends.

Keyes is a bloviating, arrogant, tiny man, with NO right to be called " moral ". He has , at least TWICE irrationally and erroniously claimed that race kept him out of a GOP debate, when he was NOT running as a REPUBLICAN. He was on T.V., withing a day or two, of President Bush being sworn in, badmouthing him for things not done nor contempalted. I could go on and on; however, you abject lack of knowledge about Keyes, who paid himself a GIGANTIC salary, from donated campaign monies, doesn't make him " untainted " ; especially NOT, when he didn't ( still has NOT ) paid campaign related expeness. That's right, he STIFFED many of his his creditors !
