Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., said that by objecting to Torricelli's request, Republicans were "denying the people of New Jersey a choice" in the election.Yeah, but YOU are trying deny the military a vote. Ah well, what you the people of New Jersey care, they're just out in the middle of nowhere, putting their lives on the line to keep the good folks at home safe, trusting that they are fighting for democracy. What do they matter? If the people of New Jersey allow this, they are lower than pond scum.

These are the kinds of things that revolutions are about.

They have just picked a candidate for U.S. Senate BEHIND CLOSED DOORS and without the will of the people of the State of New Jersey.

Shouldn't the Dems have to replace Toricelli with whoever garnered the second-most votes in the primary??????

They're acting like they're not even trying to circumvent the law!

He's up there accepting the nomination... A nomination he didn't win by election... Is that democracy?

I think it's funny that none of the men with a future would run. They had to fall back on a "hasbeen."

Help NJ FReepers! How do you think a race between Forrester and 78-year-old (!) Lautenberg would play out in NJ? Thanks.
GO DOUG FORRESTER!
DAMN, I sure wish Bret Schundler had won that governor's race!!! :-(

Eddie, they are doing this right in front of our very eyes, in plain daylight. So did their mentor, the bent one. And the down side for him was?....

Eddie, they are doing this right in front of our very eyes, in plain daylight. To the politically aware they are, but the hoi polloi are not paying attention and will only see "that the Republicans are whining to the Supreme Court again."
We may lose the PR war...so we DAMN well better win the Senate!
To: Howlin
McGreedy is saying Lousenberg is the person New Jersey wants to be the Senator. Lousenberg is talking now. Does Forrester get any equal time here? Anyone? Bueller?

To: MileHi
I have little faith in the NJSC since two are big Torch/dem supporters.Another thread is reporting that members of NJSC have supported the Torch finacially. If these Judges dont recuse themselves for that, the dems will probably pull this off at the state level.

He's sounds retarded. I think they'll need to run his campaign like they ran Hillary's. Out of public view and only have spokesmen speak on his behalf.

Yeah....that pissed me off too. There's a "no violence" admonition on the posting page at this forum, so I'm hoping I'm not bending the rules by mentioning that sometimes I think it would be fun to beat Tom Daschle about the head and shoulders for a few minutes.
