Britain should remember that they are more like their American cousins than the Germans who tried to subjugate them in WW2; Britain should think of themselves as a huge aircraft carrier keeping the rest of Europe honest.

I was afraid of Bush going thru the United Nations like the liberals wanted. If the UN was concerned about Iraq's non-conpliance with resolutions they would have done something the last few years.

Plus all countries with the exception of Great Britain and Israel evidently are so jealous of our success that they want us taken down a notch or two. Therfore we will never get the resolution out of the Security Council we desire which will make the U.S. look like more of a bully when we do go into Iraq, and we will go in because I believe we have to.

The liberals are almost impossible to deal with. I am beginning to hate them, even though I know you are not supposed to hate.

They could be a major power, with further assistance.

They are a Third World country, albeit one with a large population.

They are inferior technology wise, and that is what will be the deciding advantage in future warfare.

It is no accident that they and others like them scream, rail and whine every time the United States wants to implement advanced technology (SDI, etc)........because it's what enables us to (and will enable) us to keep way ahead of our enemies. And they know it.

Put 50 machine gunners up against 5000 flintlock bearing enemy troops, and see what the outcome is. You get the idea.

Want to know what's good for America militarily?.......Watch how our enemies react to things.

That includes the 'Trojan Horse' Party, the Democrats.

I worry about this quite a bit, actually

a lot of our military technology was transferred to Red China under Clinton

cerain other allies of ours have transferred american military technologies to china as well

Right now the US seems to be trying to create a new Roman Empire - occupying the Middle East appears to be the new goal - we could wind up spread quite thin and having to put down constant rebellions from our new colonies

Meanwhile China just sits back and laughs, and tinkers with their new toys

Because of their "one child" policy China now has 80 million more boys then girls

In 10 years those boys will be 80 million soldiers

I'm not worried about my children being forced to speak arabic, quite frankly I'm worried that my great-grandchildren will be forced to speak mandarin

oh well, a lot of thigs could change in 60 years

BTW, ever notice all the brou-ha-ha about Israel's occupation of palestine - but none of the arab countries seem to object to china's occupation of tibet?

strange, huh?

You raise excellent points, well worth thinking about:

a lot of our military technology was transferred to Red China under Clinton

Yes.

cerain other allies of ours have transferred american military technologies to china as well

A re-evaluation of whom we consider to be allies is overdue. Long overdue. 'Ally' is an overused word; if my friends did some of the things our 'allies' did, I would certainly be reconsidering who my friends are.

Right now the US seems to be trying to create a new Roman Empire - occupying the Middle East appears to be the new goal - we could wind up spread quite thin and having to put down constant rebellions from our new colonies

I don't think we are necessarily wanting to occupy the Middle East; I think that these countries are the immediate threat, and have to be dealt with.

Meanwhile China just sits back and laughs, and tinkers with their new toys

We have to get serious about not giving or selling them 'batteries' for their new toys.

Because of their "one child" policy China now has 80 million more boys then girls

In 10 years those boys will be 80 million soldiers

They may be erecting their own Trojan Horse.

BTW, ever notice all the brou-ha-ha about Israel's occupation of palestine - but none of the arab countries seem to object to china's occupation of tibet?

That's because they all share the same totalitarian features.
