You would think a bunch of politicians whose lives were saved by the remarkable actions of civilians on Flight 93, only to find the Senate be among the targets of the first bioweapons attack ever on the United States, would throw politics out the window and do everything possible to protect this nation. But noooo. Their stinking re-election chances and Congressional power are more important to them.

I think I said that: NJ looks, right now, like a pickup. NH and TX and NC are "holds." Right now, MN and SD look like pickups. AR is, as of right now, a loss, and MO, right now, is a DEM hold. That means that we have, as of today, a net gain of two, giving us a 51-48-1 (traitor creep Jeffords, who is a Dem).
This makes it very interesting. I am convinced if we can pull out MO and AR, we will see Miller switch, just to stay in power. Perhaps Breaux. But not if the margin is this close. If it is only 1-seat pickup, look for Chaffee or McCain to bolt, putting us back at even.

I don't think McCain will bolt. If we're up 51-49, it won't matter if Chaffee bolts because Cheney has the tie breaker. I just hopes massive voter fraud doesn't sway a few of these races. For example, I think Franks would have beaten Corzine if it wasn't for rampant fraud around Camden and Newark.
