Rosie admitting she's a lesbian is like the Pope admitting he's a Catholic. No news there.
This is no surprise to me. In High School she was an attention seeking ,loud ,obnoxious pig. Right after HS she did standup on Long Island; she was a Rosanne look-alike, loud and vulgar.
Her niceynice act was just that; an act. Now she has decided to be herself again. Arent we lucky?
Did she actually think there was ANY doubt about her being a lesbian prior to March? I knew it the first time I laid eyes on her!
BTW, does anybody really care about this person?

You are so welcome. What isn't always recognized is that adoption, which started out as a charitable institution with the best of intentions, has devolved into a simply another money making industry. Too often, people with big money are able to adopt the newest fashion accessory - a healthy white NEWBORN infant- in the twinkling of an eye. Money greases the skids for these folks, who simply adopt on the black market using attorneys.
In the mean time, perfectly acceptable middle class American adoptors who tend to play by the rules and who don't have the money movie stars do, must go overseas to adopt a baby. They use adoption agencies ( not all of which are ethical, please note.) It can take years, and the children who come back with them are often subject to a host of physical and psychological maladies from being kept in orphanages overseas.
All this avoids the more heart rending plight of children of mixed race, children of the terminally drug addicted, criminal, what have you, the abandoned children of our own nation who are in the foster care system. These children desperately need homes, but because they are older or not on that healthy white baby list, they stay in the foster care system until they age out.
Adoption of healthy white infants, or as one social worker I know refers to them "high dollar babies", is an industry that preys on naive and sometimes vulnerable young women. It destroys a natural family in order to create an adoptive one. The situations which lead to white infant adoption are usually transient. Unfortunately, adoption is a permanent solution to these temporary problem.
The aftereffects on women who lose children to adoption have not been well researched. It's difficult to get a good random sampling of these women because of the laws mandating closed adoption records in most states. Most of what we have to go on regarding the aftereffects of adoption on surrendering mothers are their stories. From these, we have learned that surrendering a child for adoption leads to secondary infertility in 40 - 60-% of the cases. We have learned that there is an extremely high risk for lasting, lifelong pain that frequently leads to clinical depression and self destructive behavior, and that a significant percentage of these women report symptoms of PTSD, espeially where there has been coercion of some sort in the surrender process.
The children who are adopted are not unaffected by the process either. The occasional reports we hear of deaths during bonding therapy are the tragic tip of an iceberg of pathology associated with removing a child from its natural mother. Identity problems, anomie, and severe acting out are not uncommon for these kids. And of course, there are always the people who would profit from the suffering of the adopted person. Professional care givers abound with various therapies, some bogus, some not, to soothe the ache of the primal wound sufffered by many adopted persons. This too has become an industry.
The way this country practices adoption desperately needs to change. The two changes that will have the greatest impact on cleaning up the system are 1) remove the veil of secrecy that shrouds the process , ie, open the adoption records, and 2) remove the profit from the equation.
When large amonts of money changes hands under a veil of secrecy, corruption is bound to follow.
