I have been e-mailing the SW Fla. Water Magmt. District, the Florida EPA, the Governor's office about Sawgrass, property rights and Father Mallory. Gov. Bush listens to his constituents. Did you bother contacting him?

Do you know how hard Jeb fought the teachers' unions to even introduce school choice here in Florida? He fought for it and lost, and took it to a higher court and won, was sued again...and won. You know what the envirals are like. The teacher's unions are the biggest, nastiest unions in the state....and Jeb stood up to them, too.

I wasn't aware that you disliked our Gov. and Pres. So, that's the end of that conversation, huh? Your way or the highway?

Look m'am, I honestly don't have time for one of these vacant Bush arguments. Except to say that I worked very hard on both of their campaigns, gave money, protested the whole nine yards. I have many FReepers who witnessed as much.

Let me ask you, how many people know you on this forum that can bear witness to your activism to get the Bushes elected? Don't answer that because I know somehow that the answer is a big fat "0".

OK, I re-read what I wrote and admit it's very harsh. This is why I've extracted myself from all of the bush wars crap that's been going on in the forum, to much consternation for me. You're generally a nice person, you just "surprise" me is all.

Please understand that this is not CFR, or a debate about cutting capital gains. This isn't even about the Bush brothers.

Something very rotten is going on in the very area where you and I live, and it needs to be stopped. It doesn't matter how or who, but someone needs to put a stop to this.

The people in my area are hurting, and every single official elected and not has not only turned their backs on them but most have actively worked against them. To the point where we have to rely on people and politicians in other states.

These folks aren't worried about election strategies or much of anything except keeping themselves from being blindsided. When it comes to land, families and human rights the stakes could not be higher RG.

If you want to write your emails and letters then God bless you. Anybody who wants to be helpful is much apprectiated, those who want to disrupt our lives are not.
