Holy cow...Dr. Kevin Starr? I went to grade school with his daughter for a semester or two.

He's a historian of some sort who was SF's city librarian until he had a falling out with the people running the city and left in disgust for L.A. At least, that's what I remember.

This news comes in the same week that I looked at a story about Winona Ryder's trial and discovered that her new mouthpiece is another guy I once sat across an elementary school table from -- attorney Shepard Kopp.

So I knew Shep Kopp, who is a lawyer working for Mark Geragos, who represented Susan McDougal, who was a close friend -- or more, if you believe her late husband -- of Bill Clinton.

Four degrees from Clinton. Ewwwwww. Gonna need a long shower when I get home.
