Just think, 2 short years ago this country was illegal immigrant free, no one spoke any language but English and there was not a single terrorist that was not stopped by the pre-Bush border patrol. The United States was free from all police state tactics and up to that time every president labored for hours over the constitution before making any decision. There were no liberals just good conservatives and the population was safe both in their freedoms AND security. Damn those were the good old days just 2 years ago.

Prior to him being elected there was no 9-11. You want to talk to me about the drop in the bucket detainees, and those escorted across the border when the INS can't find 300,000 illegals assigned to be deported?

Immigration from terrorist nations is increasing not decreasing, and as far as visa's 120,000 have been issued to those from terrorist nations just since 9-11, can we hold him accountable for those? Can we pin the two attempts to sneak 245i through, and his promise to try again?

If you do you might want to wake up and see what's being done to this country and it's citizens and consider what chance the Constitution has of surviving when the basic principle of sovereign borders isn't even being upheld by any but a handful of politicians in D.C.

agitator and I where having a discussion on the whole "left/center/right-wing-of-the-GOP-is-too-Liberal" thing, while discussing why the President backed such an obvious leftist thing such as a prescription drug entitlement, when Mercuria called in and stayed on for the rest of the show.

The show rocked from start to end, of my shows, I think it was the one I like best, so far.

I have learned that I agree with you most of the time so I will not get into illegal immigration since you are so passionate about the subject I just disagree with your hard line about Bush when he has not caused the problem and is doing more that any president since Eisenhower to address the problem. You have your right to dispute that but I do love my country and resent the implication . My "culture" is strong and thriving and is also strong enough to have nothing to fear from Mexico.

From the Know-Nothings to the KKK, to various other less well known subgroups, the NIMBY collection, has screamed blue murder about immigrants.

The guys, who pulled of 9 / 11 came here on STUDENT VISAS. The Buffalo 8 were all born here , except one, as were Johnny TALIBAN Linth and Padilo. Heck, Padilo's ancestors came from Puerto Rico and that has been part of the USA for over 100 years. You can NOT limit the movement of American citizens in America, for no reason

I have to tell you, I'm relieved. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of voting for Bush, I just want to know that most Freepers who consider themselves conservatives, and smart enough to have found FR, know that they are voting for the lesser of two evils and that Bush is promoting a dangerous vision with far more speed and overtness than those careless of their oath politicans that have come before him.

There are those short sighted people in both Parties that maintain that wave after wave of immigrants have hit America and she has withstood it. They refuse to acknowledge that this is entirely different, the waves were much smaller with time in between for unity and assimilation, and there was no Democrat Party playing the race, poverty, and culture cards that Balkanize rather than unite. This has dangerous ramifications for our Constitution and freedoms. We have children we love and their future to insure and it seems the country is in the hands of aging, careless, irresponsible, hippies and flower children.
