Bush better get his war and do good. What has he to show for his time in office without it?
(I can remember during the first weeks in office when Karl Rove talked romantically about the Union of the Americas - a giant free trade zone using a single economic system (and by implication currency) stretching from the North Pole to Tierra Del Fiego. That's shot to hell now...thank God.)

Russia, with a GDP of $300 Billion -- smaller than the Netherlands -- doesn't belong in the Security Council; [Where Japan's $3.9 Trillion GDP doesn't (Like -- gimme a break!) earn it a seat!] knows it -- and has the most to lose FRom any unilateral United States Of American U.N.-irrelevance-rendering action. Given the new dynamics of post coldwar diplmoacy, better Russia than Germany, which would be stiffing us bigtime. At least Russia can be 'bribed' by giving them leeway in Chechnya.
