Under the law, doctors who want to perform an abortion must have arrangements with a physician who has admitting privileges at a hospital in case of emergency. This is an excellent regulation and helps to point out the hypocrisy of the abortion industry.
They talk about "women's health concerns", but balk at the part of the law requiring them to have a transfer agreement with a local hospital so that if an emergency occurs the patient can immediately be admitted.
This happened in Lancaster County, PA too; Planned Parenthood wanted to open but neither of the local hospitals would sign a transfer agreement.
They found a hospital in York which was exactly 30 miles away and then tried to argue that an ambulance could make it from their proposed downtown clinic to York in less than 30 minutes(as required by PA law). Of course, if you know Lancaster you know how cramped it is to get around.

The Fourth Circuit is the best, most reliably constitutionalist circuit in the country. The recent crucifixions of Judge Charles Pickering and Justice Priscilla Owen, who were nominated to the 5th Circuit, is designed to prevent the 5th Circuit from becoming as reliably constitutionalist in orientation as the 4th Circuit. Bush should begin recess appointments of the most qualified, conservative lawyers he can find to fill the vacancies. At least, then, rulings like this will become more common.

Thank you for the insight. I wasn't aware of that.
