I do have to take issue with this historical argument, which gets awfully close to the solipsism of "Every civilization that has supported homosexuality and (fill in your personal bugaboo) has fallen! (Except of course those that haven't fallen yet--but they're going to!)"

How does that differ from your earlier statement that:

I suppose a hundred years ago you would have said, "Allowing women to vote rejects Western civilization." Or perhaps "accepting the Black man as an equal citizen with Europeans rejects Western civilization." Civilization is not static, my friend. A civilization that does not change stagnates.

Your comparison of equal privileges of citizenship for women or equal rights under the law for all races to forcing by law the support and promotion of sexual perversion is absurd. It's also the same as the "solipsism" you're attempting to hang on the comments of another poster. If you think it's normal for one man to bone another in the butt, practice it in your own home and leave the rest of us alone. This infantile insistence on drawing attention to your perversion has no place among adults.

Admit it; acceptance isn't enough. You want overt assurances that what you do isn't disgusting. You aren't going to get that no matter how many unconstitutional federal laws are passed protecting you from the expressions of distaste and disapproval which are going to come from normal people.
