I can't find a hint of bias in this article.

This country would grind to a halt if the laws were enforced? Silly me, here I was thinking laws were meant to be enforced. Its time to replace politicians who pander to ethnic groups by rewarding breaking of our laws in the bargain with politicians who'll see to it our laws are enforced. What's happening is an outrage. In a different era, there's be no debate over Tom Tancredo's just demand. Jesus Apodaca and his ilk would have been booted out without so much as a bye your leave. If you want to know just how screwed up our immigration system is, read Michelle Malkin's new book Invasion! and you'll see why it cries out to be fixed. What needs to be done is to put American citizens and permanent legal residents' safety first.

Sure they make it easier for illegals to go to college, while our own children can't afford it. What's wrong with this picture? There are plenty of legal citizens that want to improve their lives too, but can't afford it. sheesh. We pay the taxes and then get told to bend over.

Big trouble is coming over illegal immigrants.
To: sarcasm
yep. it lacks bias in the same way that the Houston Chronicle lacks bias when it prints articles on this subject.
To: NoControllingLegalAuthority
"Big trouble is coming over illegal immigrants."
And it will happen about the time of the next terror attack. Eunice Stone will manifest EVERYWHERE. Shotguns and hunting rifles will come out. Common sense (Lib translation: profiling) will reign.
And if the government would do it's job, all that would be unnecessary.

Shouldn't be any debate. The vast majority of the American people say throw the illegals out. No trial no rights, no b.s., just put them on poor quality busses or boats and ship them back to the craphole they came from.

Rep. Tom Tancredo's decision to ask federal immigration agents to deport an Aurora honor student has touched a national nerve, one that reaches back to the blaring contradictions of the country's chaotic immigration system, experts say... We are not fooled, we are well aware you will probably read this thread, so let's just say the only nerve getting touched is your own Mickey. Your paper purposely writes stories in support of lawbreakers because you know that will upset and inflame people, the vast majority of whom didn't call the INS and ask the student not be deported, but rather agree with Tancredo. You know as well as anyone illegal immigration is a crime, and a newspaper has a duty and a responsibility to set an example as a spokesman for a community.
Just for the record, maybe you can do a story on it tomorrow, what laws can I break and get away with?

very good idea there verity

I have an even better idea...for every illegal that gets in state college tuition waivers, target practice on an immigration lawyer.
To: ET(end tyranny)
There are plenty of legal citizens that want to improve their lives too, but can't afford it. How much pity is there for a US citizen who wishes to attend a particular state college and falsely claims that state's residency and is caught? It might seem unfair but the taxpayers of a state pay for those colleges and someone that isn't a legal resident is out of luck.

I wonder if President Fox is going to prove how much he cares about this and other illegals in the same situation and will come forward and offer him in-state tuition at any Mexican University of his choice. They have some good universities there this citizen of Mexico could attend.

He might not qualify for admission as he's not a resident of Mexico.

just put them on poor quality busses or boats and ship them back to the craphole they came from I would prefer a forced march across the border for Mexican illegals.

You know, here my husband and I are talking second mortages selling this and that to be able to send our son to college, and he may be the last allowed to attend because of racial profiling, yet a non-citizen not only gets in state tution, but government funding for his education.
These people have colleges and universities in their own country, and there is no difference between those that come here to improve their lives and criminals. They are both law breakers and advantage takers. The only difference is that my own goverment helps them rob me, and my own government racially discriminates against my family.
To: MissAmericanPie
I'm sure that these illegal aliens would also qualify for admission based on affirmative action set asides.

It is in this way that the Marxists seek to foment revolution from which they hope to be able to pick up the pieces...Why is the left the one pushing Affirmative Action and set asides when those are some of *the* most racist policies known? (and no, it isn't because black and brown people benefit, but htat these policies in effect state that w/o the government and lower standards, black and brown people could never 'make it'. Ie, they're not bright enough to do it on their own so they have to have help)
