Bush also questioned why some Democratic lawmakers want delay in voting on a resolution allowing him to act against Saddam until the U.N. passes its measure. Chuckling, the president said he could not imagine being an elected member of Congress and saying, "Vote for me and, oh, on matters of national security, I think I'm going to want somebody else to act."
Oh, Tommy Boy, the heat is just starting to get turned up.

Oh how I hope Little Tommy has dug himself into a hole he'll never get out of (not that it'd have to be all that deep)

he also said, (Aprox.) much more directly, that congress people should be acting on behalf of the American people, not on behalf of the UN.....
He said that he couldn't image Saddam waits for words from someone else when he want to do something...it was much harder than this report

I dont remember the exact quote, but GWB said something like...
"why would an elected rep of the US say they want the UN to decide matters that are of a vital concern to the US?"

Twinkletoes D'Asshole may not be able to tap-dance his way out of this one.

And this man wants to be President someday? Perhaps he should sign up for 'Decision Making 101' at his nearest CC.
It is amazing to me that the same poeple who INSIST the President bow before congress have the exact opposite opinion when they are in adn near the WH.

God bless President Bush as he struggles to protect us from Weapons of Mass Murder in the hands of mass-murdering dictators such as Saddam Hussein, despite the Demoncraps efforts to hamper his efforts.

Tommy keeps saying there are answers he needs before the Iraq action. What are the questions ?
To: Ole Okie
The media will give him chances to do so though.

Not to throw water on your celebrations, but remember that the media plays the music to which Daschle dances - and a lot of the American people can't get any other stations.

"Vote for me and, oh, on matters of national security, I think I'm going to want somebody else to act."Slam Dunk! Senator Tiny Tom is about to be bulldozed and any attempt on his part to resist will mean a public trip to the woodshed.

"Democrats waiting for the U.N. to act?" Bush asked with chuckle. "I can't imagine an elected ... member of the United States Senate or House of Representatives saying 'I think I'm going to wait for the United Nations to make a decision'."
Bush added, "It seems like to me that if you're representing the United States you ought to be making a decision on what's best for the United States."

The DemonCraps are Saddams unpaid (but cooperative) agents. They are doing all they can to ensure that Pres. Bush does not take out Saddam and his Weapons of Mass Murder programs. Shameful.

Remember the Iranian Hostage crisis? It seems like years that then-President Jimmy Carter sweated and cried over the plight of the hostages. Remember the yellow ribbons around the "old oak tree"?
Carter excelled at victimology. The Iranian mullahs knew that his blustering was no more than empty rhetoric.
In contrast, Ronald Reagan, during his election campaign in 1980 made some not-so-veiled threats about going after those terrorists. And once he was in office, how long did it take before the Iranians decided they'd better release the hostages?
If Saddam Hussein understands that Bush is really serious, unlike the previous administration, Hussein might actually come around.
But, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

He's made his decision. He wants to vote after the election. He's doing all he can to make this happen. I think it's going to do him in.
