I was thinking the same thing. Ich hasse Democrats und especially Torricelli.

Evidently Forrester hasn't been accused of anything illegal....until he began his run agains Senator T.
I'm way down here in Georgia, but it sounded as if Forrester scored a huge winning point, when he said he didn't know anything about the legal action the senator described, clearly intimating a boo boo by the senator for mentioning it prematurely.

Torricelli seems so shrill and defensive. How has he been re-elected all these times? I hope he's still falling in the polls and that Forrester comes across OK tonight in that very liberal state! He does seem well-informed and calm. I'd vote for him, esp. considering the alternative!

The crowd is laughing at Torch: he's just made false allegations about Forrester's Social Security positions.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Am I wrong? The Senator is frantic, desperate, and to my eyes, Forrester just gets cooler, calmer, more precise in his articulate replies. He's killing the senator!

Forrester just blew it, with respect to "privatization" of Social Security. He should have asked the Torch if he still participates in the federal government's Thrift Savings Plan. That plan, available to members of the Congress, limits investments to certain index mutual funds and government bonds.
The President's commission on private Social Security accounts limits investments to exactly the same investments as are in the Thrift Savings Plan. People would not be allowed to invest in individual stocks.

Youre right. He just says the same crap over and over.
To: jackbill
How has he done with the other questions, any major mistakes?

Torch is really looking like a whack job. I hope NJ isn't such a liberal pro-killing-babies state.New Jersey is a hopeless liberal sewer.
This debate is irrelevant because New Jersey will reelect the liberal no matter what. It's not only because New Jersey has loads of parasites. New Jersey is, perhaps more than any other state, completely in the pocket of the scumbag teachers. Plus, New Jersey has more than its share of goofballs. Sorry to be so negative, but New Jersey is gone. That place went swirling down the toilet long ago. New Jersey and Torricelli are perfect together.
To: BonnieJ
now this is rich...a donkey whining about taxes
To: Lancey Howard
Don't they care about the accusations against him? I thought Torricelli was falling in polls a while back. No hope at all for Forrester??

Has he started every response with "Well, Mr. Forrester" He also tries to lecture someone about keeping secrets, when he won't release the Ethics Committee testimony.
To: BonnieJ
He's being too pesimistic. There's still hope for New Jersey as long as we have lousy politicians like Toricelli.

Are you kidding me. The Torch just asked the people "Who do you believe on the issues?" The people in the audience started laughing.

Did anyone catch the 'chuckle' from the audience when Torricelli talked about 'who would you believe?'.
