This has to be one of the most touching things I've ever read. Perhaps there is hope for America's universities. This girl deserves an award.

Sounds like most of those protestors should have joined their buddies in the white hoods and swastikas.
In fact, those liberal jerks are worse than the "Outed" Nazi's. Those Nazi's are not a serious threat. The liberal fascist jerks are.

Bush will protect her Israel as her supposed friends on the Left desert her.
The political landscape of the last generation has been transformed, Christopher Hitchens and all.

Just shows how mixed up the liberals are. I bet she thinks that because I belong to the NRA, Support our military and a Right Wing Republican who supports GW that I'am the enemy. Nothing could be further from the truth. Hopefully some of the Liberial Jews are awakening to the truth. Go Bill Simon. Parley

I must admit that I, like many young Jews and Zionists my age, feel betrayed by American liberals. This girl is one sharp cookie.

Strange rearrangements of the political spectrum nowadays. Songs of the left from the Spanish Civil War belong to American conservatives now...
luchamos contra los moros...
mercenarios i fascista...
We fought against the Moors
the mercenaries and the fascists
(from Viva la quince brigada, sung by Pete Seeger among others)

The antisemitism of the Left made manifest.

The day she says "liberal" instead of "anti-Nazi" she will take a big step towards us.

"The past two years have been a perplexing time to be a young "liberal" Jew in America. This young lady is sadly confused into believing she should be liberal, because that's what she thinks she should be. A good Jew is a Liberal Democrat Jew.
It deeply saddens me that the misinformation and propaganda of the Democratic Party has been so succesful that a person such as Sarah grows up with the belief that the Democrats are the friends of Israel.
Hillary dines and smooches with a terrorists wife and the Jews continue to support her. Where is the sense in that?
I think we should all Freep the Wash. Jewish week in support of this girl and help convince at least one person that the Republicans and Christians are indeed the friends of the Jews and of Israel.

When will Jews finally recognize that Nazism and Communism were both just flavors of Socialism? Once again as antisemitism runs amoke, its origin is in the Left.....

"During a mission trip to Israel with the International Hillel Organization, I learned that there are no absolutes in politics just as there are no absolutes in life"Nice article and I support you (for what it's worth) but you may wish to rethink these two little points.

This girl deserves an award. I'm not so sure. She may feel betrayed by American liberals, but I don't think she changed her own liberal views.
Plus, it's rather clueless to go to a counter-protest alone, especially if you're not a 260 lb guy.

A big problem is a lot of very liberal Jews in high places have helped create these immoral monsters. Most Jews are liberals and Democrats. They claim to be moral people but then support pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-gun control, anti-Christian policies, etc. etc. As they are finding out, you can't have it both ways. They better wake up and start supporting and voting for their best friends, God-fearing conservative Christians, or its going to get even uglier.
To: Russell Scott
But all I could do was ask them, "Why are you doing this?" "Why are you doing this?" With all of the research I've done on the conflict, for all my convictions, all I could say was "Why are you doing this?" Will she ever figure out the answer to this question? I doubt it.

She's disappointed that the other protesters don't identify with the Jewish state. But why should they? Israel would deny most of them citizenship simply because they aren't Jewish. Why should they celebrate Jewish separatism while condemning White separatism?
To: Dog Gone
I'm not so sure. She may feel betrayed by American liberals, but I don't think she changed her own liberal views. These things don't happen like a lightning strike, they take time. The road to truth can be a long one for some- and the destination is reached one step at a time. She sounds like she's well on her way down the proper road to me.

Why should they celebrate Jewish separatism while condemning White separatism? Since when is expecting people to act civil in public asking them to celebrate Jewish seperatism? I don't think she was necessarily asking people to celebrate her culture- rather she was asking them not to spit on and abuse her for it- which is exactly what they were supposed to be protesting against.
To: zapiks44
I dunno. Cute story, but it has a made-up feel to me. Good message, though.
To: faintpraise
Israel would deny most of them citizenship simply because they aren't Jewish. Being Jewish is not a requirement for being a citizen of Israel. It may be a requirement for immigration to Israel, on that I am not certain. But Palestinians and other Non-Jewish Semites, who are born in Israel of Israeli citizens, or were in Israel when Israel was formed, are indeed citizens of Israel and can vote in Israeli elections.
One reason we should support Israel is that it is a democracy that grants rights to it's citizens, not granted by the Arabic and Non Jewish semetic states which surround Israel.
