And remember, it doesn't take a ballistic missile to deliver it. It just takes a cargo ship. Or an airliner. In fact, a ship or a civilian plane is far superior, in that it is very deniable. No one would ever be able to prove who sent it.

Good point. I'd heard of the possibility of a cargo ship containing one, but not an airliner. I never thought of that. Evil geniuses think of these things.

It would seem that all international flights should first be detoured to Maine and Alaska, then. The ones from South America can fly to...I don't know. Any suggestions?

In this new post-911 world, international flights should be diverted from our population centers if we know what's good for us. Not gonna happen, though, unless...

The terrorist attacks are indeed an attack on Freedom, as GW originally said.

The Koran thumpers have been directly and indirectly directed to wage war against the "infadels". They keep this as close to their hearts as Born again Christians keep their hearts to the Bible.

But the Bible doesn't give commands as the Koran does. If the Bible said directly to wage war against non-believers, can you imagie the world we would live in?

Please explain what an "imperial foreign policy" is and how on earth does the USA qualify as imperialist?

I suspect that Shatz's definition would be quite different from yours and mine.

What leftists (as well as the Buchananites) object to is a foreign policy defined by our national interest. Things like "freedom of the seas" and "ample supplies of energy" are in our national interest. But either motivation would be proclaimed as "imperialistic" by the left and the Brigadiers.

But the left would happily have us intervene on the basis of "humanitarian interests", even when based on a false premise -- as in Kosovo. Even when it served our national interests not one whit -- or actually worked against them.

At bottom, the left's anti-imperial impulse and objection to acting on behalf of our national interests is that, somehow, these interests are perceived to be primarily "commercial". Thus, connected to "profit" and, accordingly, possessed of some sort of evil corporate intent.

In this respect, I guess the left and the Brigadiers aren't that far apart...

Amen, Brother. I just finished reading Gertz' "Breakdown," and came away firmly convinced that the real threat to our Republic is from the Democrat Party. From Church, through Carter to Clinton, they have done whatever they could to weaken and undermine us.

Some examples or the Holy Koran, the message that millions of people hold so dear that they won't let a non-believer even touch their personal copy of:

"Muhammad is God's apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another." (Surah 48:29)

"Prophet make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home." (Surah 9:73)

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51)

These passages are in the Koran, which the Muslims hold dear to their hearts and pledge their very souls to obey.

This is your brain on Islam. Any questions?

Where are our colonies as part of our so-called Empire?

Well, most of the Western States are colonies of Washington DC, but I guess that really doesn't count...

This one's for you. Right click and go to properties. Copy the addy. Might come in handy sometime.

For those who may not know, this is HRC kissing Arafat's wife after giving an anti-Iraeli speech saying that they poisoned Palestinian (Jordanian and Egyptian) children. Pass it on. Please.

They are mad, not because they are being stifled, but because more and more people are voluntarily tuning them out.

Yup. They will never understand that the right to free speech does not equal the right to be heard.

Well, of course, they understand it perfectly, they just ignore it.

But by doing this we will let Saddam and Ossama get strong and eventually they will attack us again. We can't take that risk!

Yes, but a good intelligence agency unhindered by the feel-good politics of the moment and proficient snipers on call can solve those problems before they get started. One bullet is a lot less expensive than a battlegroup deployment.
