If Islam becomes powerful enough in the UK to force the adoption of sharia law, don't you think it would at the same time be powerful enough in the rest of Europe to influence the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights?
To: Cincinatus
As much as I prefer the direct, explosive approach, you are right. This is the opportunity to gather the kind of intelligence that will aid us in producing a much more strategic hit later. Moreover, the rhetoric emanating from a conference such as this might go a long way in helping to clarify for Europeans just what sharia law could mean for their own lives.

The IRA would be a great idea if it weren't for the fact that they have trained together and share at least the common goal of disrupting western (OK, Anglo) society...
There is, however, another Irish faction that might be given a temporary pass.

More to the point:
Just what has the EU or any other european entity done to show that it could or would do squat to STOP it?
Let's see,
Albania/Bosnia/Kosovo? Nope!
Support the only non-islamic state, and a democracy, in the Middle east? Nope!
Deport even illegal aliens known to be tied to 9/11 to the US? Nope!
But they do manage to bitch about our laws, our 'arrogance' and our president's birthplace.
They will devote more news space and hand wringing to Kyoto and to their International Court (talk about arrogance!) than to any legitimate defense of what they believe to be an obsolete way of life and governance.

Yeah. I'd like to send the royal Irish contingent of the FDNY on a busman's holiday to London this week.
To: GaryMontana
Maybe the Brits will lock them up once they are gathered..

"ICBM meets loads of Sept 11th-praising Muslims gathering in London" BOOM!!! That's what I call a devastating comment! ;-)

If it wasn't for those students in Iran, I'd have no tolerance for Islam whatsoever. I could be wrong, but I think Iranians are mostly christians. The people are persians, not arabs.

Sorry, but you are wrong about most Iranians being Christians. The Persian Empire fell to Moslem invasian in 641 A.D., and the usual persecutions of non-Moslems and forced conversions followed. (Prior to 641, most Persians were probably Zoroastrians - there are few left in Iran, and a group of Zoroastrians fled to Pakistan. There were Christian Persians then, however, and today there are Persians who have become Christian, especially among those who fled to this country after the fall of the Shah.)
Your are right about Iranians not being Arabs, though.

I find this rather hard to believe. Not that it is happening, but that they aren't rounding up all of these terrorists and throwing them in prison.

we see them as a sincere devoted people who stood firm against the invasion of a Muslim countryI see these fanatics as invading a Christian country and trying to take it over. Does that mean that we can begin to preach Christianity to the Middle Eastern countries that we conquer over the next 20 years? England and the rest of Europe better wise up BIG TIME to this threat from within their country. Asylum-schmylum--throw the bums out!!!

Sheikh Mohammed The conference, to be held at Finsbury Park mosque, north London, will be attended by followers of militant groups and chaired by their Muslim leaders, including Omar Bakri Mohammed, whose al-Muhajiroun group wants to establish a worldwide Islamic state. Maybe someone can phone in the GPS coordinates of this mosque to our guys in the area? And warn off all the infidels first so we don't injure any innocents?
