As much as I prefer the direct, explosive approach, you are right. This is the opportunity to gather the kind of intelligence that will aid us in producing a much more strategic hit later.       Sorry, but you are wrong about most Iranians being Christians.  The Persian Empire fell to Moslem invasian in 641 A.D., and the usual persecutions of non-Moslems and forced conversions followed.  (Prior to 641, most Persians were probably Zoroastrians - there are few left in Iran, and a group of Zoroastrians fled to Pakistan.  There were Christian Persians then, however, and today there are Persians who have become Christian, especially among those who fled to this country after the fall of the Shah.)
