I'm absolutely over the moon and the bairns will be as well because for once they'll have freedom Ah, yeah. That's what this is all about. That's where this is going.
Freedom.
Tracking implants for freedom.
Not to mention "for the children..."

There's a disturbing trend emerging in Britain towards quick 'fix-its' which probably won't fix anything. Just wait until a pedophile hacker starts using the chips to actually locate children for the purpose of abduction. Won't we all be schocked and apalled?

Oh I don't think it would make parents more complacent about their childrens' safety at all, especially if you understand the psychology of mothers. To a normal mother, her children are her life and there is no stronger form of love between people. Women will do anything for their children. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but it is every women's worst nightmare to lose her child.

Oh I don't think it would make parents more complacent about their childrens' safety at all, especially if you understand the psychology of mothers. The views of Anne Cassidy regarding what her children can do with the implant, as opposed to without it, sound like complacency to me. The problem is that having their children 'chipped' is bound to make people think their children are more safe than those without it, hence they behave differently, and perhaps unwittingly increase the chances of an abduction.

I don't have any children, but if I did I would be a terrible worry-wart and may give the implants a thought although I don't think I'd actually go through with it because I don't like the idea of implants, period. However, if I lived in a big city I might think about it for my two little dogs!! In general though I think implants are creepy and could lead to some bad trends.
