It should be totally apparent to Bush and his advisors that any delay in implementation of the war against Iraq after Al Quada was eliminated plays into the left's advatage. They own the world press. Given enough time they can convince the world and our leftist dems of any lie they want.

The first WTC didn't happen, The Kobar Towers didn't happen, the Cole didn't happen, he didn,t frustrate the UN inspectors at every turn, he didn't kick out the UN inspection team, he didn't kill his own Kurds by the thousands, he didn't start a war with Iran that killed millions, he didn't overrun and than rape Kuwait, he didn't kill his own Shiits by the thousands, he didnt use poison gas on his own people, he didn't allow thousands of terrorists to be trained in Iraq, he didn't have a chummy relationship with Osama, he didn't broadcast and continue to move in the direction of eliminating Israel, he hasn't on many occassiions said it was his aim to kill as many Americans as possible, he doesn't want to be the new Nebuchadnezzar and lead over a billion Muslems to world dictatorship, his people no longer live under a grinding tyranny and now they love him, he hasn't diverted billions of his oil revenue (as allowed by the UN) away from drugs and feeding his people, to his war machine and building 30 some palaces.

That is just an abbreviated list off the top of my head. I am sure you Freepers could multiply it. I wish every Conservative and every Republican would articulate that list daily.

Sun Su said it well, "Never meet your enemey's strength with your weakness." To think that we could win a one year psy-war with the leftist press is absurdity to the extreme.

Is this not apparent to all? Why can't Bush and his advisors see it? Or worse, why do they ignore the obvious?

Your cabinet statistic is untrue. If they all went to Ivy League schools, I would probably be more worried. If you mean the 7,000 princes won't be able to retain control for long, I think you are misreading Saudi Arabia since they permeate the Government and the military.

The US needs a friendly puppet in Iraq?! When did we wake up to this realization? Yesterday? If our concern was the fall of the Saudi regime why didn't we seize the oilfields in the Gulf War when they were really at risk.

Even Saddam sells us oil today so controlling oil supplies is a canard put forward by people like Mowlam who see a Rockefeller behind every move the US makes.
