Your theory certainy would explain why there are no videos of him holding today's paper. However, I thought we were waaayyyyyy to lax in closing the border with the Pakis.

My best scenario is he was shot in the head on the stern of the Enterprise and kicked overboard. Then we searched for several months, declare victory and go home.
