Has your medication run out?
Jews do not change their laws for technology. We change technology to observe the law. Or, you could just use the line from Fiddler on the Roof - Tradition!
"Jewish blood" is a concept which I don't care for.
If you don't mind, why is that?
It implies a racial concept. Judaism is a religion. There are people from many races who are Jewish. Their blood is no different from anyone elses.
Of course, there's a definite historical Jewish people.
True. Just as there is a definite Jewish people today.
In that case, you are not interested in "who is a Jew?" but in your own "sniff test".
It sounds like you are trying to shift the pea under the RELIGIOUS jew shell. Are you trying to hide something?
I'm not trying to shift anything. I'm simply telling the truth without playing any games.
the ancient Rabbis promulgated laws which are as binding as the laws of the Torah.
Really? Are these "laws" binding on God?
Yes. We believe they are. This may come as a surprise to you, but Jewish belief includes the idea that HaShem Himself acts only according to the law.
Oh, I'm not making up anything. In terms of "who is a Jew" the historic and genetic trail is crystal clear.
Not as clear as you make out. This historic trail is colored by those who happen to have Jewish sounding last names, but who have acted contrary to Jewish values. The genetic trail, as you put it, is colored by conversions and intermarriage.
"Laws" or rules made up by ancient Rabbis to meet some local political or religious or cultural need by deciding who can belong to the club are not worth a bucket of warm spit when it comes to tracing the actual history of the Israelites, and the very few of them who later came to be known as Jews.
LOL....I see where you are going with this. Have a nice trip.

Thanks, but given your negative attitude, your refusal to see the truth, and your penchant for playing games, I doubt that your profile contains anything worthwhile.
The last comment is yours. But won't read it as I'm not wasting any more of my time on you.
>Yes. We believe they are.
That's all anyone needs to know about where you are coming from. And with your closed mind, where you are going.
