I truly believe the peaceniks at the NYT's and the media would rather wait until we are hit with a nuclear weapon before supporting military action. Anyone who subscribes to such destructive policies is an idiot. The primary job of the Copmmander-in-Chief is to protect and defend this country from all threats, both foriegn and domestic. Thank God we have a president that subscribes to these policies instead of the former.
To use the very words of the President.... "History has called us to action, and this Administration will act" unlike the last administration, I have great faith in this one.
God Bless America and God Bless George W. Bush

speaks:
I WANTED to call your attention to the highly significant speech delivered today to the Veterans of Foreign Wars by Vice President Dick Cheney. The vice president lays out more comprehensively and forcefully than any senior administration official has so far the need for regime change in Iraq and the likelihood that preemptive military action will be required to achieve this result, and he responds effectively to recent critics of the Bush Doctrine. The debate in the administration is over. The time for action grows near. Congressional leaders should seriously consider a resolution authorizing use of force when they return next week. Passing such a resolution as soon as possible would provide the president with maximum flexibility and an opportunity for tactical surprise, would strengthen his hand vis-a-vis our allies, and might embolden internal opposition in Iraq.

Cheney has made a very good case but it won't satisfy the naysayers. Nothing will.

"America in the year 2002 must ask careful questions, not merely about our past, but also about our future. The elected leaders of this country have a responsibility to consider all of the available options. And we are doing so. What we must not do in the face of a mortal threat is give in to wishful thinking or willful blindness. We will not simply look away, hope for the best, and leave the matter for some future administration to resolve."
Ya think he may be talking about a previous administration?

"media would rather wait until we are hit with a nuclear weapon"
Of course ... we have a Republican President - who else better to blame!
