So far there are calls for him to be stoned publicly, guillotined a bit at a time, and buried alived. I would like to add hanging, drawing and quartering to the list.

Maybe a little of each.

In the end, bury him alive in a coffin full of fire ants.

Fire Ants, you got it. That's the right stuff!

BTW, we have lots of those nasty little critters here in Texas, more than enough to spare a few billion for this inhuman S.O.B.

Supposedly there's been no confession. The cops at the press conference a few minutes ago said they'd gotten no help from Weaver. As far as probable cause is concerned, isn't it interesting that there's enough probable cause to go after Steven Hatfill, but not enough to go after Ward Weaver till now...

I didn't ask you for sarcasm, I asked you for evidence of the "rape" that you quoted. I figured that since you posted the said fact with such intense certainty, that you might be privy to more information than anyone else.

But since you cannot provide a link, I must assume that your comment on this thread was for the sole purpose of inciting other posters, as it has nothing to do with the subject on this thread.

If you are looking for an argument - you will not find one with me, as I prefer to deal with facts and not speculation.

but to get back on topic, I am relieved that at least these families can give their children a proper burial now.

Thanks. If it were up to me, Oregon would be placing its order asap.

Timothy Lyons tells The Oregonian that Weaver gave his consent because he wanted to "bring closure to the families" of Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis.

How sweet. If he really wanted to give them closure, he'd hang himself in the jail.

My sentiments precisely. Not even a dead body would convince some of the lowlifes on this site.

There are witnesses who allege that he raped them. The evidence was not admissible, but I'm hoping it will come out in the penalty phase.

Apples and Apples.

FoxNews also reported that Ashley had accused this man of molesting her last summer! He denied it and no charges were filed. That alone should have made the police suspicious of him!

Unbelievable! That poor girl then, and now. My God will these lowlife perverts not end?!

They must have thought it was a case of False Memory Syndrome, or some other syndrome concocted to protect rapists and pedophiles. It's open season on young girls in this country.

police incompetence is rampant throughout the country. The price for 30+ years of leftist and PC policy<<<<

This is doubly and trebly true in GreenPeace Oregon, where no evidence can possibly rise to the lofty level of probable cause in these leftist/socialist judges little minds.

These statements, to me, do not compute. The fact that Oregon & elsewhere have leftist/socialists judges who require a high amount of "probable cause" before issuing a search warrant is one thing. Police incompetence is quite another. I've heard a lot of people criticize the police for not digging up the place sooner, but I've assumed that's because they didn't think they had enough to get a warrant. Speaking of search dogs and speaking of the David Westerfield case, many here at FR obviously think that search dogs are only slightly more reliable than voodoo or astrology.

As for the son stating the father confessed, the son only just recently said this (in the last week or 10 days or so). And I think his son's statements are probably what tipped the balance and allowed them to get the search warrant. It's really easy for a lot of armchair quarterbacks to criticize the police and ignore the legal intricacies the police have to wade through thanks to our wonderful judicial system.
