Flatheads prefer live fish. They eat bass, bluegill and other catfish.

They taste great.

lol, live bait.. depends on what size you want. I was down on "kentucky lake" years ago when I saw first hand what fishing for Big fish was all about. They used 1/4 inch nylon rope on a hand cranked winch with a 3 pronged anchor for a hook. The bait - 1 whole 6 pound chicken. The Bobber was a full sized styrofoam cooler. The fish, well, there's plenty of pictures of them in the local restaraunts up and down the river, 6 feet on up. Now *that* is fishin for cat lol.

Plus catfish are son-a-bitches they live forever plus they can skip along dry land for quite a long distance without taking air like other fishes. Same with eel's.

Is this lake in America. Also I would love it more than anything to go to one of those places on the Amazon river like many other popular people do and catch three foot bass and try to catch a 16 foot CatFish lol even though he would pull me in the water. Even if three men were holding an ugly stik with 500 pound test line the rod would break lol.

This was a hoot, watch these old boys catch some catfish...takes a minute to load and they don't catch the first one until about 8 minutes into the video.

At a lock and dam near St. Louis the divers refused to go in unless provided with a sharkprod.
