There have been many different " cultures " represented here, since our nation began. Yes, there were black Africans ( ever heard of slavery ? ), and the various ethnics from Europe were NOT readily accepted. The " dominate " culture and language, at the time of our founding was ... G-E-R-M-A-N ! Asians ( specifically Chinese, but others too ) have been amongst us, for more than 1/2 our history. Just because people , who emmigrated here, before, were white , didn't mean that they assimilated faster, or that they were accepted.

No one else demanded and received: free lunch, free places to live, free welfare, free bilingual ed...EVERYONE ELSE'S grandparents/parents/great-grandparents/great-great etc. learned English and got by without handouts from the US taxpayer.

I don't see anyone flying the Italian or Polish flags. However, I have seen quite a few Mexican flags. My opinion on European flags is that I wish that most would get behind the US flag. However, Europeans aren't flooding us in droves. The Mexican illegal aliens represent a bunch of invaders who are residents of a hostile country. Thus, the flying of the Mexican flag is more serious for these reasons.

For starters, dear, the ILLEGAL Irish, in N.Y.C. , is a major problem there. Many white and black well educated South Africans, are now in the USA. I said that it was almost impossible for them to get here; not that it is impossible. :-) You don't want the Commies, from Mozambique here. The white farmers, who stayed, when Rhodesian became Zimbabwe, were PRO Mugabe and roaring lefties. They deserve what they're getting, IMHO.
