Great job Willa and all. I asked seenenuf if there was any rally planned and didn't here anything or else I would have been there with. Thanks for supporting our Commander in Chief.

It was a blast. But really, the traffic and trouble getting there was a bit much.

HERE's the LA Freep Report and HERE's Doug from Upland's LA Freep Report. They're both excellent.

A side note on the freep. One of our freepers invited a neighbor. She never showed up but I just got the report on what happened to her. She actually was there, but while looking for a parking spot got in the wrong lane, the one that went into the hotel. She was asked as she drove in why she was there. She said she was going to dinner. To make a long story short, she saw President Bush in person and got his picture!

Here's the OC Freep Report from yesterday. If you've already read it, please pardon the interruption. Otherwise, enjoy! Many thanks to oc-flyfish for the thread and the pictures!

Great FReep! San Diego would be a fun FReep (not just 'cause I live down here) with all the retired military. Nice job countering the commies too! Have a cousin who was probably in the unwashed ranks (but her dad is Republican so there is hope). Let me know about weekend events.

This is a great idea. Caligirl for Bush, here's your assignment, if you choose to accept it: In your day to day driving, scope out a good place for us to do a "We Support Our Military," "Thank you Troops" type of freep. We'd want maximum exposure to our service people, of course it would need to be during non work hours, so a Saturday or holiday would be good.

Dio, is there a San Diego Chapter?

Thought you guys would like to know I was so horrified at the front page article in the Orange County Register the day after President Bush's visit to Orange County to campaign for Simon, that I wrote them a letter. Today, they published it in the actual paper and it's also on the website HERE and reads:

**************************************************************

Bush campaigns for Simon

I just about jumped out of my pajamas when I read the page-one, above-the-fold article, "Bush cool to Simon" ["Aug. 24]. President Bush comes to Orange County to campaign for Simon, quite an exciting and unusual occurrence, and your headline reads, "Bush cool to Simon"? Then the content of the article was filled with snide innuendoes and twisted commentary. In case you don't remember, the front page of a newspaper is for news.

When the president of the United States comes to my county for the very first time, to campaign for a man running for governor, my first thought isn't that he doesn't like him. Do you think we are that stupid? I guess that's a dumb question. Forget I asked.

**************************************************************

Too way cool, huh?

There's a couple of good ones in there today (besides mine, of course, she said modestly).
