Focault's Pendulum: My answer started out on E Bay for a buck.
It was a Dutch Auction.
Well, sorry! As a computer expert at $105/hr, your response is not worthy of my question.
Do you mean so that it doesn't "auto-fill in" the address when you type it in?
Swerve, do you have any idea?
TnGop, that might be it, but, before I try that - if I do that, does it delete them all? Because what if I just want to delete one address, but keep others that have been stored? Is there a way to delete just one address from an auto-stored list that shows up below the Address bar when one starts typing? Thanks.
Obviously you are a victim of public schools.

There is a solution, but what are thinking? If we post the answer here, Al Queda will know.

Those damned Hispanics are ruining our culture! What was your question again?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
The urls in the pulldown menu are under that registry key.
They will be listed in a numbered order.
url 1 | http://www.whatever.com |
url 2 | http://www.freeporn.com |
url 3 | http://www.msn.com |
If "url 1" is deleted, the urls following that won't show up in the IE menu. Freeporn.com would need to be renamed url 1, msn.com would be renamed url 2 and so on. The same if you delete, say, url 10. The urls following would have to be renamed then so that the numbering remains consecutive.
Warning: If you're not familiar with editing the registry, then you would probably be better off not messing around with this. Or you can do like I do. Just clear the IE history and delete the whole mess, then start over. :^)
With Netscape 7.x or recent mozilla releases, you can set a Tabbed Browsing preference so that Ctrl-click will open a link in a new tab in the main window. Coupled with the Tabbed Browsing "Load links in the background" option, you can open several links from the same page, each in its own tab, without leaving the page you're reading, then visit each tab (using the mouse or Ctrl-PgUp/Ctrl-PgDn), read it, and close it when you're done. No worries about resizing windows; there's only one and its size isn't affected by new tabs.
PopupCaptor is a new feature to NetCaptor which automatically closes popup windows. Users maintain a list of sites which are not allowed to open popup windows.
Thank you. I'll be here all week. Please tip your waiter. ;)
Ouachita - Freeporn.com. Hmmm....Freep orneriness.com? Haven't seen that one. : )
