At some point it's going to come down to how best to identify the baddies, and with ~800K potential Islamists here, the country won't have time to do it w/ normal law enforcement procedures.
I would hope that the US wouldn't infringe upon the rights of Muslims who are US citizens, but mass deportations of any Muslim who isn't a citizen won't be outside the realm of possibility after the next attack. (Yes, I fully expect another attack in the not-too-distant future, and also expect that we will have a Muslim-initiated nuclear event in the US before the end of 2003).
When / if that happens, the very silent (alleged) Muslim majority in the US will wish they'd spoken out against the atrocities done in their religion's name.

So are you saying that this is a war against Islam Allow me to clarify: We are not saying that this is a war against Islam. Muslims are.
We fear that this is the beginning of a massive level of world violence perpetuated by muslims who want nothing less than world domination. They will fail, but they will take millions of innocent lives with them.
I would like very much for Islam writ large to be campaigning to purge these forces from their ranks, but I see nothing of the sort. Your post too, sadly, is bereft of any condemnation.
We are accused of hatred, yet in truth we hate no one. What we do hate are certain ideas. Ideas that say it is OK to wrap your children in Semtex and blow them up just to kill some Jews-- Yes, we hate ideas like that. That is evil, and those forces that believe such things MUST be eradicated like the parasites that they are.
How's that for a news flash?

"I do not know what was in Mohammed Atta's heart, "
I do. Hate and anger against all non muslims. A burning desire to murder and kill thousands, including muslims.
A fanatacism, nurtured and stoked by islam, the clerics and the the saudis and the egyptians and his masters, osama and al-zawahiri.
Driven by fanatical verses out of the koran, he fulfilled his ambition of becoming a true shaheed by killing thousands of unbelievers and even a few believers.
"That on the Day of Judgement Mohammed Atta will be standing in front of the God, and he very well could be standing next to me or you"
Spare us the religious dogma. More pious BS.
If you deny Atta's authentic and true muslim nature, you are an apostate. But then lying to the unbelievers is part and parcel of your so called 'religion', isn't it.

If we talk of the same, then you are not at muslim.
The GOD of the Bible is not the same as Allah.
You need to check out the orgins of your own religion.

I as a Muslim cannot say whether Mohammed Atta is in heaven or hell.. Fair enough. I truth I'm not really asking for you or anyone else to pronounce eternal judgement. I was asking for your opinion on the acts that he and his compatriots did.
You have to understand that even in your reply there was no denunciation of the acts themselves. That is what screams by its absence not just from your posts but from all writings seemingly by all muslims. So... I'll ask the question another way:
Did America deserve what happened to us on 9/11?

The grisly beheading of two Christian missionaries by Muslim fanatics... Inaccurate - JW's are most certainly not Christian.

"a people you know nothing about"
I've learned. I don't like what I've learned.
I've learned that they despise freedom, despise other religions. Mysogynistic to the bone.
They have a peculiar idea that the barbaric sharia code will create paradise wherever it is instituted.
There is a God, and he smiles not on you when you let others commit atrocities in his name and say nothing.
BTW, there was a lot of anti-german prejudice in the states, but this was chilled and tempered by the German-americans themselves - who spoke out against Hitler and expressed unqualified support for America in word and deed whenever possible.

There is only One God... we talk of the same.. The whole blowing-up-Jews-for-God thing notwithstanding.
To: Man in the Mirror
There is only One God... we talk of the same.. You obviously have given no serious thought to this. The God of Islam (one god, NO trinity, Jesus Christ is not God bu t only a prophet who was not even crucified) and the God of Christianity (Trinity - Father, Son, Holy Spirit) cannot both be true at the same time. LOGIC DOESN'T ALLOW IT! Ever hear of the Law of Non-Contradiction. Think on that for awhile.

I do not know what was in Mohammed Atta's heart, I as a Muslim cannot say whether Mohammed Atta is in heaven or hell.. I can say this...The very idea that your interpretation of your religion might leave room in heaven for people who fly planes into buildings where 50,000 innocent people work freaks the heck out of me...
It doesn't bother you that for many, Islam tells them to do exactly those things? You don't think it is time that Muslims get on one side of this fight or the other? I think it is too late for fence sitting. I wrote an essay after 9/11 asking some questions of American Muslims...(How do we end terrorism without being impolite to Muslims?) none answered. The silence remains deafening.
thanks for the ping Ramius...

A person, with delusions of granduer, wrote the koran. A human. Nothing more. Why is it exempt from teaching hate? It clearly calls for the end of the infidels (non islamics).

Allow me to clarify: We are not saying that this is a war against Islam. Muslims are. In my mind, it most certainly is a war against Islam - they started it - it's a religious war - no doubt about it. The solution: Destroy Mecca and Medina right now. That will be the end of dying for Allah. If Allah can't stop a measly MInuteman missile from destroying his Holiest place, then Allah obviously doesn't exist and who would die for him?

Whoa, pal. That holds true for the Vatican and the Antioch Bapstist Church,
