Sharon Is to Join Jeb Bush at Rally for Israel in Florida

I loved the contrast between these two statements:

Ms. Reno's campaign manager, Mo Elleithee, said: "We've always known that we're up not only against the governor but also against the White House and that the White House will throw every resource it has into this race. That's because the governor's becoming increasingly more vulnerable by the day, and the White House is, I think, a little nervous."

Some Democrats conceded today that the governor, whom they once viewed as vulnerable, now seemed to be in good shape heading into the fall campaign.

I think this is a little bit of wishful thinking on Mo's part, and the "some Democrats" are facing the reality of the race.

The Florida Democratic chairman, Bob Poe, described the visit as "absolutely improper" and a "shameless attempt at politics by the White House."

If he's against it, I'm all for Sharon coming to visit Jeb. In fact, when I read the headline, I really just couldn't stop laughing because I knew the Dems would squeal like stuck pigs.

Great news Summer! But you know that the DEMS are fuming and are going to spin and insult both Jeb and Sharon as much as they can. But I think Florida has a large Jewish population, and if Florida's true to form they're probably divided......but the more votes the better! WHOO HOO!

Me, too! The Democrats are postively green with envy, not to mention trumpeting their enormous cache of hypocrisy. As if they wouldn't give their eyeteeth AND firstborn to disrupt Gov. Bush's campaign. They could always invite their favorite Middle-Easterner, Yasser Arafat, but I suspect the publicity they'd get would not be particularly positive.

I agree. If Sharon likes the Bush brothers, maybe it is because they are not interfering in Israeli elections and a bogus peace process that aims to get them to give their country and security away.
