That's exactly right. Just show up looking drunk and you'll be fine. It would also help to fall down a few times in a place with a lot of loose dirt. Developing a nervous tick for awhile wouldn't hurt, either.

Here's why I think you're wrong (tomorrow will prove one of us right):
In this election, McKinney is running by herself. She's never had to do this before. The Democratic party is officially neutral in this race, so they aren't doing anything in terms of voter turnout etc for her.
In the past, there was always a Governor or Senate candidate running at the top of the ticked, and their machines was what McKinney rode, along with the official Democratic Party turnout efforts.
From what I understand, she never developed her own "machine", but relied on the machines of others.

They have to drag me away from the polling place kicking and screaming.
To: Guillermo
Sounds like McKinney is running scared. What they haven't figured out is that propaganda techniques that work with barely literate or easility bufuddled (some of the elderly) DemocRAT voters won't work with most Republican voters.

Read my post #22.

This must be the same call my friend received. Did you also hear she was playing a taped phone message from Andrew Young endorsing her - BUT he said the message was THREE YEARS old and he was remaining *neutral* in this race.... Hope some of these shenanigans get reported ......(holding my breath....)

Interesting!

I thought McKinney held up quite well in the debate. One must take care not to judge these things based on the fact that you disagree with everything one says. That is mixing up ideology with dispassionate politcal analysis. Please. "One must take care" not to judge the basis of another poster's comments before you know what they are.
I've disagreed with plenty of politicians and very few of them have sounded as stupid as McKinney did to me the other night.
Not only were here arguments infantile but her facial expressions looked like one who wasn't wrapped too tight mentally.
I can't believe you're defending her.

Yes, and McKinney was also playing a tape which had Clinton endorsing her. It figures that slime would do that.
Make sure to tell your friend to vote for Majette tomorrow.

I call them as I see them. No one has yet posted that my judgment is infallable however, so I have to keep in mind that perhaps it fails from time to time.

I hope your friend has notified the local media about the call.

You're right, it won't work with the vast majority of GOP voters, but, it will work on some.
In an election that could potentially be decided by dozens of votes, this can make a difference.
My guess thoough, is that this would most likely scare the elderly, and most of the elderly around here vote absentee. I understand 4,500 Democratic absentee ballots have been requested in N. Dekalb (GOP territory). This is good news.

YES my friend and her dh and to quote her "everyone she goes to church with" will be in the "D" line tomorrow morning!!
Not sure if she called the media or not - knowing her she probably did......

Tell her to take that phone message to the appropriate authorities. That smells like out-and-out, desperate, fraud.

I'm with you, Jorge. I'd rather see Cynthia in there looking like the big-mouth, big-ass treasonous RAT that she is, disgracing her party every time she opens her big yap. Cynthia, you go, girl!

An article in the Nation of Islam's weekly newspaper, Final Call, notes that Mrs. McKinney is being assisted in her volunteer coordination by Steve Cokely. Mr. Cokely gained notoriety in the late 1980s when he said that Jewish doctors had injected black babies with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
Hmmm this sounds alot like both the Stalinist "Doctors Plot" and KGB disinformation about AIDS. . . Its amazing the things you see come around again once you live past 40 LOL
To: Jorge
I agree. Majette will probably vote almost exactly like McKinney. The difference is that Majette will be more respected and effective. I think this cross over plan is a mistake. Better to have McKinney running around screaming, "Miz Scarlett, Miz Scarlett, I don't know nothing 'bout America" and making a complete fool of herself. THAT is representative of Liberal Democrats, that is the public image they need to be branded with. Why help them out by excising this embarassment when they themselves would not do it alone?
To: veronica
The GOP will never get a sizable percent of the black vote as long as race pimps like McKinney are the "voice of blacks everywhere" in Congress. I whole-heartly welcome her defeat.
To: veronica
These Arab donors to Mrs. McKinney's campaign "are some bad guys," said David A. Harris, deputy executive director of the National Jewish Democratic Council. "It is completely legal to take that money, but it would demonstrate poor judgment. I would like to think that it transcends party affiliation." You would think that it would transcend party affiliation, but apparently not. The Republicans are going to have to save the day on this one because obviously the 'rats have no problems with voting for a woman who accepted campaign contributions from quite a few Arabs with terrorist ties ON 9/11. What more do the 'rats need to decide that she's not fit to hold office?

McKinney does not have a "stupid" face and is not stupid. She is quite articulate. Are we talking 'bout the same lady here? Maybe I watched the wrong program but I saw this really ugly, bitter, rude, egotistical, selfish (geez, I could go on and on) lady on a debate on C-SPAN the other night. Her name was Cynthia McKinney but she indeed had a "stupid face" and, with her remarks, revealed an abundance of stupidity within.
Yes she is a demogogue, race baiter and some other things bordering on evil, but that is another matter.
That's her!
Maybe we did see the same person after all... :^D
