>I noticed she was on C-SPAN already blaming the heat for the possible low turnout today.<
To my understanding, the weather in Washington D.C. is quite comfortable right now...

"C-Span has been way left for about 3 years now."
Bunk

After all the hype, the advertisements, the boasts, and the build-up all leading to the sight of Moses parting the Red Sea and making his dramatic entrance between the waters, the reality is the reparations proponents huge numbers crusade turned into the flop of the millenium. Actually what they didn't get was people really understood what they meant by "They Owe Us." What with this being covered on CSPAN, I'm amazed any one's even watching. What a big waste of time in August.

>>>They owe us" really is their official slogan for the rally.<<<
It sounds to me like their slogan today is "black power!". No kidding.

I think C-SPAN is entirely correct in airing this. Wouldn't you if you were Brian Lamb?
If anything sinks the reparations effort, this show will be it.
Agree with Interious on this. Nothing like sunshine will illuminate this better.

Really now.

That woman who was just speaking had a shirt with Old Glory on fire. Disgusting!

Now one of the speakers is asking for back child support?!?!?!? Also how did I come from a slave owner if my ancestors did no arrive in Texas (from Germany) in 1890?

"Reparations would harm people, who never owned slaves and reward people, who never were slaves."
But most of all, it will ultimately hurt Blacks. It is tragic, and symptomatic of the pathologies that are TRULY responsible for the black condition.
To: jern
This is ridiculopus. If they get "reparations" can I send a bill for the pain and sufferring to them my white ancestors experienced to "free" them?

Yeah but look at what is going on outside the picnic...err...I mean protest area in D.C.
Nobody is in their homes unless they are really bored today or have to work. I am home because of work for the weekend. This...this is just the perfect day to fly a kite...have a few dogs on the grill, and enjoy the views of life. These people think Omaili Yeshetella is their God.
This is nothing but a bunch of bitter black racists. If this were WHITE people saying "WHITE POWER!" like they are screaming "BLACK POWER!" this would be considered white trash and nazi's and scum. There is no difference.
Everybody got to deviate from the norm.

She must have forgotton about welfare, AFDC, Wick, Operation Headstart, and on, and on, and on....

Here is another thought. Anyone "claiming" reparations, if they get paid they have to agree to vacate the United States and go live in Liberia, which was set up for them many years ago.
