We'll see how well the "walking around money" works in the black middle class sections Dekalb.

For some reason, I doubt 5 bucks is going to buy a vote from people who live in $200,000 houses, have decent jobs and drive nice cars.

That's why McKinney's district is so interesting. It's precincts includes academia, well-heeled suburanites, middle class workers, and the poorest of the poor precincts in Georgia. You can imagine which of those precincts are Cynthia's strongest.

"All of our contributions are legal," she said. "My opponent, on the other hand, has an awful lot of Republican money going into her coffers."

Lame

Right after 9-11, the feds moved in on Mar Jac and took computers, records, documents, the works, so while this middle eastern - chicken plant - Cynthia McKinney connection is news to me, it's not news to the feds. I feel better already.

When I read in the story the part about Mar Jac's owner openly supporting Hamas my first thought was, he needs a visit from Mr. Ashcroft.

Thanks for your post, I feel better too. :-)

Implication seems to be: it's all right to take money from terrorists, as long as it's legal, whereas it's horribly wrong to take money from Republicans, whether it's legal or not.

Did you notice how the McKinney campaign announced Ralph Nader was doing ads for them?

Makes sense, since he's also an anti-Semite.

It's also the 'ole misdirection' democrat ploy. Whenever they're caught, they do the 'yeah but the republicans blah blah blah....'

I'd like to see the evidence, before I accept that. If there's any basis to such a charge, I would imagine the Gore campaign would have made a big deal of it in 2000. As far as I know, they did not. Instead, I remember they made pretty scurrilous suggestions that Nader is homosexual (an idiotic tactic, considering the nature of Nader's potential constituency.)

Well, the New Republic had an editorial about it at the time, where they made a convincing case (i.e., publishing anti-Israel columns in known anti-Semitic magazines) but it's now gone from their site.

Anyhow, Nader is a consistent defender of Arafat, which ususally corresponds with Jew-hating.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

She really pissed them (the AJC) off when she blew them off (or at least their political reporter) at the debate last week. The AJC reporter was the one who asked her why she didn't confirm whether or not she'd be there; McKinney kind of rolled her eyes and said that she'd been "too busy talking to her constituents."

An obvious lie. Add to that her aloof attitude and the copious complaints from the locals who are tired of her crap, and it was only a matter of time.

Oh, and let's not forget the lovefest between she and AJC editorial page editor, Cynthia Tucker. I'd hate to get anywhere near the two at the same time.

I'm sure there would be a knock-down dragout if you put them in a locked room...
